This is what happens when big equipment companies can’t deliver parts on time. I was told this morning for an alternator obviously it didn’t show. I’m absolutely sick of shitty parts and shitty parts just in time as they call it. Once this thing gets below a certain voltage I can’t shut the system off. #parts #bigag #bs #oklahoma

Many are sharing their delightful stories about Orion Samuelson today in honor of his memory and passion for agriculture. My 15 year old self will never forget being at National FFA Convention in Kansas City MO. Mr. Samuelson & his cameraman stopped my chapter on the street to ask if someone would stand still so they could record the back of a jacket while he shook hands with that members. I stepped up and said yes. I could hardly get to the hotel fast enough to call collect on a landline to tell my parents to get up at 5 am on Saturday to watch my jacket on the US Farm Report. (Yes, it was more than a while ago!) I had no idea one day I’d be behind the microphone and still in awe of the great man and broadcaster he was. #cheerstoOrion

I was in Champaign for a deal that Orion Samuelson spoke at. After he was finished, I went out to the lobby and he was selling his book. I asked if he minded if I shook the hand of one of the most prominent voices in ag. I then asked, " what was the biggest positive change you can remember coming to your farm?" Without hesitation, he replied, " electricity." Something I had never lived without was a life changing event for him and his family.
