@GrindeOptions Difference 2008 : people owned properties they couldn’t afford to pay mortgage on 2026 : people were stress tested for higher rate mortgage at the point of application and most are on fixed deal at lower rates so even if rates go up, it’ll be fine

This weekend will be interesting to see how the market digests the news from the past week. Hopefully no more volatility is created over the weekend from the conflict in the Middle East. The 10 year interest rate is spiking. Commodities like gold and silver are dropping. Oil continues its upward climb. Gas prices are now rising faster than anticipated. Bitcoin is holdings steady at $70,000. I think if the U.S. decides to do a ground offensive in Iran with Israel, that’d be detrimental to our economy in the short to medium term. It’d likely add an additional few hundred billion to our debt and inflation will rise. But on the other hand, if the U.S. can move at warp speed and get the war in the Middle East handled, we are going to see trillions of dollars flood back into the U.S. markets virtually overnight. We shall see how things play out.
