We usually try to stay away from politics and all the drama. But this situation is simply disappointing. @CashAnvil and all the @AnvilDevAgency team are a proven team, with a sustainable business ongoing (not many can say that in crypto). They have always built for the community, for the progress of Cardano for many years by now. Their API is being a key part of our PERPs Platform, they saved NFTs with @wayupio, and honestly, without Anvil we would have been doomed by now. They made a withdrawal proposal planned AS A LOAN with constant revenue to the Cardano treasury. Yet the people in charge rather FUND withdrawals that will end up dumping the price of $ADA with no actual revenue back to the treasury or the ecosystem. We live in a moment where the chain activity is low, where many have left by now, and the people in charge just PUSH THE REAL BUILDERS AWAY. Honestly, what's the point of keep building here when the chain don't support one of its biggest builders? We as a community, as an ecosystem, as builders are working against a system that won't support the good people building ACTUAL VALUE to the chain. They rather just keep burning the treasury while losing the remaining few active people on Cardano, and this is the final nail in the coffin. I would like to encourage all the few builders here to not lose faith, but at this point, I might be too naive. At PERPs we will keep pushing for Cardano, or what remains of it. We will keep building and supporting every single person still wanting to build here. To the DREPs that voted no, SHAME ON YOU. To everyone who supported Anvil, thanks a lot for trying. I wish we had a different outcome. I really hope the Cardano community can stand up and work something out to help Anvil to get this happening. It really hurts witness this situation. Cardano needs a change NOW, and if there's anything we can do to help, our DMs are always open. Stay strong, Cash. -Mimi

The tribe has spoken. We have tried to make this a reality on Cardano for over a year now. Time to find it a home elsewhere. Thank you to everyone who supported us. Shame on all the people who told us to go direct to the treasury and still didn’t vote YES. I’m very much over governance on Cardano. It’s very clear who it serves and has significant issues of front running, extended length causing fatigue, people unqualified to be making these decisions, and most importantly an extremely disproportionate amount of DRep power. A lot of emotions but I think I will keep it simple for today as I reflect. I’m truly sad at what the place I once called home has turned into, and not just because of this proposal failing.

Wanted to take a second to thank everyone who supported us in our proposal. Most of these people have known me for 5 years now. I appreciate your willingness to trust us to build here and taking a chance on us! Thank you for seeing the opportunity we worked so hard to bring to Cardano. From the looks of it, before the non voters are added in, we will probably have more YES votes than NO votes. Silver lining of sorts. Special shout out to the @txpipe_tools team for sponsoring our proposal. Special shout out to @dankarda and @wolf31o2 for offering to help with the sponsorship and the yes votes. Special shout out to @Quantumplation who took the time to provide what i believe to be the best feedback humanly possible, I only wish we had spoke before submission, could of been what we needed to pass. Special shout out to @planetmaaz who has had our back through and through. Tagging all the DReps in the comments who voted YES because it wont let me tag all of you in the main post. We gave it our all, this process was grueling and forced us to really think about the product and build. Our proposal was not perfect, but we were more than willing to adjust and make changes based on feedback. Unfortunately, governance seems like more of an ultimatum these days. We appreciate each and every one of you, it's not forgotten and certainly did not go unnoticed. Our team is so grateful for the support shown, we gave it a good shot!!

You need to get your money back from Groomlake if the GPRK story is what you're going with. The bug originated in XDEFI/CTRL Wallet that later became SecondFi that later migrated Yoroi users over to it. This wallet is a cross-chain wallet with support for many blockchains. You're telling me the master plan of the DPRK was to embed themselves at XDEFI, introduce a subtle bug, wait years to exploit it, and then exit with only 2m USD after ensuring they ONLY exploit a few thousand Cardano users and not any other blockchains? Why didn't they wait until the product gained traction at minimum instead of exploiting it on the launch pad? This excuse doesn't pass the smell test for me unless there's harder evidence.

An update regarding the recent security incident involving SecondFi What happened to SecondFi Between June 21st and 23rd, SecondFi experienced a security incident that resulted in approximately 16.1 million ADA (~$2.6 million) being stolen from 374 wallets. We want to provide users with a transparent update based on the information currently available. An independent investigation EMURGO engaged Groom Lake, an independent forensic investigation / blockchain intelligence provider to assist with tracing and evidentiary analysis and they reviewed the incident using primary technical evidence, including code, code history, and public blockchain data. What the investigation indicates to date: 1. Attack from an external actor: linked to high-volume addresses employing advanced tradecraft: @0xGroomLake indicates that the primary operation behind the unauthorised transfers was sophisticated, external, and well-funded, with indicators consistent with activity by a professional, state-aligned threat actor. Certain indicators are being assessed for potential overlap with known DPRK-linked threat activity of Lazarus Group. 2. Two separate attackers: Groom Lake also identified activity by a second party that appears, based on current evidence, to be separate from the primary operation and to have affected a different set of wallets during the same window. No overlap in affected wallets has been identified to date. The root cause: A cryptographic flaw The root cause was a highly subtle flaw in how the wallet software generated per-transaction signatures. In simplified terms, a value that should have been derived from secret information could, under certain conditions, be computed from public transaction data. This could enable affected private key material to be derived from information visible on the public blockchain. This cryptographic flaw was also visible in a copy of the relevant code that had been published without authorisation to a public GitHub repository. We are continuing to assess the circumstances surrounding the publication and are cooperating with the relevant authorities. Fix and winding down of SecondFi The flaw has been patched, and new wallets created with the corrected software are not known to be affected by this issue. However, given the gravity of this event and as previously announced, we have made the difficult decision to wind down SecondFi and Yoroi wallet. Asset recovery and safe migration Our current priority is supporting affected users, assisting recovery efforts, and enabling users to move assets securely. 1. Recovery tool: A secure recovery tool using zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs is being developed. The portal is designed to allow users to initiate the process directly while limiting the information required to do so. The tool is currently in testing, and we are engaging a specialist third-party auditor to review it before its anticipated release in August 2026. 2. Safe migration: In the meantime, we are preparing wallet export functionality designed to allow users to migrate their assets to a wallet of their choice. We anticipate releasing this by early August 2026. Please follow our official channels for further updates. Important Security Reminder SecondFi will NEVER request private keys, recovery phrases, or wallet credentials, and we will never DM you first.
