@TUKMAKthemakman @thomasbrushdev This was gonna be my question. Floating point precision errors… but I think you’d hav to be REALLY far away from the word origin, and in an on-foot FPS I’m not sure this is likely. I also wondered about a memory leak, which would be fixed by restarting the application.

Calling out into the wilderness for help: why might collision randomly stop working in a Unity build of a game. After about 1 hour of gameplay, certain collision just STOPS working for SOME objects (doors and crates, in my case). The only way for it to start working again is by closing the application entirely. This is significant because: the player controller that has this problem is RESPAWNED entirely fresh and new if you go back to the main menu. So you'd think the issue would fix itself once going back to the main menu. Which makes me think it's something wrong with the render pipeline of physics entirely. Some kind of corruption. Any thoughts?

@lushfoil UE4 is goated! I still work almost exclusively in 4. UE5’s performance just can’t compete, and 4 can still look on-par with 5 if you know what you’re doing.

@skx_doom Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I've been searching for exactly how to do this for 2 days! I've worked out writing the G-buffer to a render target, but how did you use Niagara to blur the RT?

Did some tests with blur post process effects and it's expectedly faster instead of sampling PostProcessInput0. And you actually can blur everything right in Niagara before writing to RT. Maybe 'fog scattering' is possible after all... I have to try!

Wow, you actually can write GBuffer to an arbitrary Render Target in Niagara and it's fast. Scene color downsampling hack? There's a big drawback though - it doesn't capture any translucency and there's some jittering, so the usage is still limited.

@bmfshow @Survios Yes!! I’ve been waiting so long for an Alien VR game. Isolation was one of my favorite flatscreen games, and I tried the VR mod but it had a bug with head tracking being off and made me too dizzy to keep playing.

Anybody looking to sharpen their VR dev skills and have some fun? I'm trying to learn a bit about VR dev, I'm terrible at it 😅. I would love to create short proof of concept experiences for the channel as simple as possible but still done well of AAA games or properties.
