As everything has already been planned in advance and restructured completely.
So this is essentially the only holdover small revenue Bungie can make until a D3 could exist

The planned direct sequel to Alien: Romulus has been reportedly shelved.
Reports indicate that director Fede Álvarez clashed with franchise creator and producer Ridley Scott.
Álvarez wanted to bring back Michael Fassbender’s android character, David, but Scott allegedly blocked.
If that's true, kudos to Scott. David is such a unique character that only Scott should direct him.
