@Swolav @gammaroneus @vxunderground I’m talking about a trusted program that you’ve already checked and installed receiving and installing an update that’s compromised. I doubt anyone is going to download an update, then run it through virustotal before they install it. So an active solution would be effective.

You are absolutely correct. Please have the anti-malware vendors migrate their detection engines to user-mode. Nothing bad could happen.

@yup108459 @financedystop Manufacturers are screwing over the every day mechanic way more than illegals. Why would a shop pay a $100+ a day license because they can’t replace a transmission without reprogramming it? I prefer old cars but some people can’t justify the cost of repairs compared to value.

@ryunato_fgc @blacknredtext Up until recently, their controllers don’t allow gyro controls and analog triggers at the same time. X-input mode allows analog triggers but no gyro, switch mode allows gyro but no analog triggers. I haven’t felt the need to get a new 8bitdo.

@blacknredtext 8bitdo controllers have most of that for like $60.
And like you remap IN-Controller so you can connect it to any console via adapters as well.
Comparing it ONLY to the expensive controllers from the big 3 is dumb as hell.

The steam controller is the most underrated piece of tech. I can't wait for this to drop. Huge fan of the original, the extra stick and Dpad make it perfect now

The Steam Controller may finally be getting closer to launch, as new leaks suggest Valve Corporation has received its first large shipment of “wireless PC controllers” in the United States. I've seen this sentiment going around with a lot of physical mods to old console and handheld hardware and I think there is definitely a divide forming between people who actually want to use their old shit and people who want to curate a personal museum.

Am I the only one who hates console mods that remove the disc drive? I see these for both the PS1 and Dreamcast a lot. Like... Why would you remove the ability to ever actually buy and play games in their native format on the original hardware? Surely there's other ways to play your collection of ISOs on the hardware...

@KidayaG @DAKKADAKKA1 Steam machine wakes home theater setups through HDMI. PC motherboards usually don’t have that feature. For that alone, I’m getting a Gabe Cube just to have it in my living room to supplement my PC and Steam Deck as they all serve different enough purposes to justify getting one.
