@MacRumors 10% huh? Why is the price up 10% and not 7% or even 50%? It’s because they control it! They fuck us just enough purposely. When you see how the wirld works, you to will become an asshole.
@BetaProfiles Fucking Idiots!!!!! They’ve been tweaking this stupid fucking Liquid Glass Shit for a year! What the fuck?! Get rid of it! It doesn’t fucking work!
@r0ck3t23 He was talking about us basically creating, insanity. That’s a waste of time. It’s not even close to how we were created or what we are. We were conceived and then born. We’re not someone’s video game character. We are human beings. We are reality.
Elon Musk reduced the oldest question in human history to basic math.
No one has found a flaw in it.
Musk: “What are the odds that we are in base reality? And that this has not happened before.”
You don’t need a physics degree to follow it.
You need a timeline.
Musk: “If you look at the advancement of video games, it’s gone from Pong, two rectangles and a square batting it back and forth, to photorealistic, real-time games with millions of people playing simultaneously.”
Fifty years.
That is all it took to close the gap between two rectangles on a screen and a world you cannot tell apart from the one outside your window.
Musk: “If that trend continues, video games will be indistinguishable from reality.”
The visuals are not what seals it.
The intelligence is.
Musk: “Think of how sophisticated the conversations are you can have with an AI today, and that’s only going to get more sophisticated.”
We are not scripting characters anymore. We are building minds that reason, adapt, and surprise the people who made them.
We are nowhere near finished.
Musk: “The future, if civilization continues, will be millions, maybe billions of photorealistic, indistinguishable from reality, video games. And with characters in those video games that are very deep, and where the dialogue is not pre-programmed.”
One base reality.
Billions of perfect copies.
Each one running minds that feel exactly as conscious as you do right now.
Each one certain it is the original.
Musk: “So then what are the odds that we are in base reality?”
If even one civilization crosses that threshold, simulated minds outnumber real ones by billions.
The probability you are sitting in the real one is not low.
It is nearly zero.
Not as philosophy. As mathematics.
We are not watching this happen. We are building it. Right now.
Every AI that reasons without a script. Every world rendered one frame closer to indistinguishable.
We are constructing the exact technology that makes our own existence statistically implausible. And we will never stop.
Because the curiosity that questions reality is the same force that builds it.
If the math holds, something built us. Something conscious enough to create consciousness.
They stood where we are standing. Same question. Same inability to stop.
And whatever built them never answered it either.
There is no top floor.
There is no original.
None of that changes what you feel right now.
Consciousness was never about what you are made of.
It was about what you experience.
Musk did not float a theory.
He held up a mirror with no back wall.
And the math does not need you to believe it.
It only needs time.
@FREAKMMA1 Look you fucking morons, he was already injured. He threw kicks here to see how hard he could go in the fight. They weren’t going to cancel the fight on fight night. They tried to hide it to take people’s money. He threw that stuoid kick to blame the injury on a freak accident.
@AussieGamr They need to add more puzzles, dungeons, weapons, items, fighting techniques, enemies, bosses, villages, ways to navigate, a huge map, remixed music, new music, hidden places, new ways to heal, possibly magic, and different ways to travel.
@AussieGamr For me, the biggest problem is going to be Link as a southpaw. I’m way more nostalgic than you kids out here complaining about redesigns, and that’s not an issue with this game. It needs things added to the original story.
Play Asia's $60 Ocarina of Time pre-order listing has people saying this means it's a low effort remake.
I think they're reading it completely backwards.
A price at that level often signals Nintendo isn't planning to stuff the game with modern systems just to justify charging more.
And that's a good thing.
Ocarina of Time became legendary because it dropped you in Hyrule and expected you to work it out.
You got lost in the Lost Woods.
You brute forced through the Water Temple logic.
Child and adult time travel changed the world in ways you had to discover yourself.
Navi wasn't constant GPS, she was mostly just annoying.
That friction is what created the sense of accomplishment. Modern "ambition" tends to sand all of that off in the name of accessibility.
Star Fox on Nintendo Switch 2 just proved the alternative works.
Velan kept the soul intact, made it feel right on new hardware, and it moved strong numbers while people praised it for respecting the original.
No one called that low ambition.
If the OoT team brings the same care and deliver sharp visuals, tighter controls, and the dungeons and progression left exactly as they were, then US$60 feels like the right price for a game so many of us already own in some form.
Early retailer listings like Play Asia are often placeholders anyway. Nintendo will confirm the real MSRP and full details when they're ready.
The remake I'm hoping for isn't the one chasing bigger scope and more hand holding. I want a Zelda remake that trusts players enough to let them get properly lost again.
I've sunk too many hours into the original across decades to want them to "improve" the parts that made it feel special.
Am I wrong for wanting a faithful, high fidelity update over a more expensive version that smooths out the soul?

@AussieGamr The price means nothing, they’ve all been ripping us off for years. Map size doesn’t mean a video game should be expensive. Anyways, if the map isn’t gigantic, this will be one of the worst flops in video game history. Please make this game looooong!!!!! HUGE MAP!!!!!
