@santanderukhelp That’s understandable. But regular payments for non-mortgaged etc, shouldn’t be restricted for reference.

@G1raffee For payments that are sent with generic details e.g. credit card and mortgage payments, these payments will be sorted via the reference to the correct account. ^MS

@santanderukhelp Also don’t understand how a reference change can effect the destination, if there are no changes to the sort code/ac number. The additional security question for reason for transfer was good enough. As well as the bank knowing the account details are correct that have been input.

@G1raffee Hey there! We do appreciate this can be inconvenient. However as changing the reference can ultimately change the destination of the payment, just like altering the sort code or account number. For security purposes we require these to be set up as new payments. ^HS

@SingaporeAir Yeah this was logged by the staff member at Manila airport. I have a reference. It was meant to be on a plane today, but the latest email update states that the bag is still being located. When we were told yesterday, they know where it is in Heathrow.
