@LizzieCornish12 @kingkapoor72 You can have Sikhs in England, or you can have Henry Nowak alive. Pick one. It’s not about who’s nice and who isn’t, nor is it about being nice at all. England is the home of the English. If the English cease to be in control of it, it will be someone else’s.

Vickrum Digwa admitted that when speaking to police on the night of the incident, “I did not mention the full truth and that I had stabbed him.” The prosecution said to Digwa: “Whilst he’s saying he can't breathe, you’re explaining that you have a swollen eye.” The jury heard Nowak’s final words before going silent: “Please brother, I can’t breathe.” Henry Nowak died at the scene. The prosecution also read evidence from a conversation Digwa had with his brother while in custody, where his brother asked him, “Why did you use the kirpan?” and he replied, “I am a fool, I am an idiot.” Fake Sikh Digwa denies all charges. Justice for Henry Nowak

@Mobyhaque1 Iraola and Kroupi as a package deal? Maybe throw Senesi in too. A couple of seasons ago, it was Liverpool spending money on the South Coast. Now it’s time we gave some back

If Hughes stays, its natural Andoni Iraola would be top target (who he brought to Bournemouth). Meetings rumoured w/ Iñaki will turn out to be true but for Andoni, not Xabi (same agent) Something that stands out : Iraola unbeaten in 16 PL matches since Jan 10, even after losing Semenyo. Respect.

This is pretty cool, it fits very well into the landscape. Being able to go long/short narratives is cool both from a general investing pov. I'd definitely see the potential for it, similar to index funds in certain markets. But it also captures the space aptly, where identifying narratives and being early to one, is a frequent talking point that never seem to die in crypto, so would be great PR (if the product is good enough too).

4/6 This becomes really interesting once you add leverage. Instead of using credit to lever one asset and eating single-project risk, you can lever the narrative while de-concentrating risk across the basket. long or short META5, DEFI10, PRIV5, LST10, PUMP10, etc. i.e long all LSTs without being exposed just to one.

1/6 I was wondering: what if instead of betting on one project, we bet on narratives/ecosystems/launchpads? Like instead of longing OMFG or AVICI, you long META5, PRIV5, BANK3, or LST10. Not “pick the winner”, more like “I think this whole pocket of the market works”.

Nockchain is cutting emissions by 50% starting at block 65500 tomorrow. That means 35M new nock gets emitted each month instead of 70M for the next 6 months… Then issuance reduces again, then yearly, on a slow curve that maintains the protocol’s security budget over time!

> Non-technical teams are now shipping production code > Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports > Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor At face value, this sounds like it's a little out of touch with reality. If I'm trusting Coinbase with my money, I don't want important functionality being shipped by people that don't know what they're doing. I'm also skeptical about having managers serving as ICs while also managing large teams. But Brian is generally right about most things, and even if the proposed structures need some tweaks, this is probably going to help set a baseline for what the industry can reference in the future
Brian Armstrong@brian_armstrong

This is an email I sent earlier today to all employees at Coinbase: Team, Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future. Why now Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both. First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth. Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day. All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core. What this means To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice? - Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles. - No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams. - AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role. In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs. To those who are affected I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done. All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information. To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements. Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters. How we move forward To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together: Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it. The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission. Brian

🥇| @JamesPearceLFC: "Some of his [Mamardashvili's] shot-stopping has been impressive, but he’s nervy with the ball at his feet, and his wayward distribution has, at times, put the team under pressure. At 25, he’s still relatively young in goalkeeping terms, but the jury is out. He needs to raise the bar next season."

Semenyo also is 26 and this guy is 20, so he will be able to build up his physique. He’s obviously very good at running with the ball, going past players rather than stopping and dribbling past them. Which is something we’ve missed Gakpo who always cuts inside. Toure also is a decent dribbler. So it’s not like he can’t do it. Build up his physicality and he’ll be a very capable player for that sum. Him and Rio is for sure very young, but a strong side. Gakpo also then we have more than enough cover.

@SeanDOlfc I watched a comp on him and not sure he’d do well on the prem tbh his go to dribbling technique is to kick it in to large spaces and use his speed to chase after the ball he just won’t get that space in the prem not the biggest as welll could see him getting bullied like frimpong

🇨🇮 Some strong links now with #LFC and Bazoumana Touré. I’ve been saying he is an ideal Liverpool profile for well over a year now, before he had even played a game in the Bundesliga. Was a big fan of him at Hammarby. He’s a really, really promising young player.
