Im late to the party when it comes to investing. I retire in 5 - 6 years what shares would you buy for this time period.

@steady_profits Im a bit late in this game (59 age) and only started to invest a few months ago and will only be doing investing as much as I can for the next 5 - 6 years until I retire. Im fortunate I have a good pension to help with the financial costs of retirement.

It's the end of another month, so I thought I would take a fresh look at the best performing stocks in 2026 out of the ones that I currently hold in my portfolio. You can see that the S&P 500 is up 10.93% this year, but there are nine stocks that are outperforming this index. It is no real surprise that three of the top four are my AI infrastructure stocks. $NBIS is the big winner, up 176.08%, while $IREN is up 68.23% and $CIFR is up 60.23%. #TERN, the UK-listed small-cap IOT investment company has also sprung into life again after rising over 44% this week, and is now up 85.71% YTD. Apart from the online broker $ETOR, the rest of the list is dominated by tech names, or investors in tech in the case of Molten Ventures #GROW. The challenge now is to find new stocks that can outperform the index, having just raised a lot of cash by selling my holdings in $AMD and $FSLR.

@Dividend_Learn Once you have a certain number of copiers and a certain amount of AUM, you can start to receive monthly payments from eToro, either a small fixed payment on the lower tier, or a percentage of AUM on the higher tiers.

I just noticed that my eToro portfolio is now up over 30% in 2026 so far after the stats were updated. I still find it strange that I only have one person copying my trades on this platform after seeing 30%+ gains in three of the last four years. I don't really know what else I can do to attract new copiers at this point. Nevertheless, just as with X monetization, where I still haven't earned a single penny either, I will keep plugging away. The extra income would be tiny anyway compared to the profits I have made from my investments, but it would be nice to have an extra side income or two from X and eToro.

Although new to buying shares Ive noticed 2 things. Dont believe everything that all these traders post about how easy it is to make millions each day. Point 2 you need alot of patience and not panic when things go red.

Bought $GOOGL at 160. Sold at 300 after a massive run. 🤦‍♂️ I thought I was being "smart" by taking profits, but I was actually just being impatient. The company's story remains exactly the same as it was on day one. Mistake: Selling a winner for no real reason Lesson learned: Let your winners run as long as the thesis holds. 📈 Thank you 🙏🏻

@FlippieFinance 36 with kids.... I'm still waiting for it to get less stressful. I'd say since turning 30, the money stress has unfortunately been quite consuming.

At what age did money start to feel less stressful? Or has it?
