@PeytonElroy They can be allergenic, and they also feed viruses. It could be your body’s way of asking you to abstain, recover an allergy, reduce viral load, lower autoimmune expression, etc. Natural fasting. BTW, I have the same issue.

A couple times a year I go through a period of being grossed out by eggs. I haven’t been able to pinpoint why that is. Eggs are one of the most nutrient-dense foods we have easy access to and yet I have cycles of needing to reject them. Anyone else?

So this is me admitting to envy publicly, but also just feeling sad for missing out on … something. Might delete. At our church, we have a policy of letting small groups handle ministries like baby showers and meal trains and such. The small group I attend didn’t forget me or anything. They gave me a small diaper shower at one of our meetings and set up a meal train for four meals after we got home from the hospital. But it does hurt to see other ladies who were pregnant at the same time as me getting full-on showers with registry gifts (we needed actual baby things again, and $$ is tighter than it was w our 3yo) where the whole church was invited. Just now, the sister of a new mama posted her meal train for the whole church to participate in and it had a solid fourteen meal slots. We went to church with our baby for the first time this week, and one of the leaders of the women’s ministry told me she didn’t even know I was pregnant. Just feels like you have to be popular to get more support, and if you don’t have an advocate or want to toot your own horn, you aren’t as valued as other women. So now I’m midnight-nursing-ugly-crying over here. Don’t mind me. Most ppl don’t. *end self-pity vent* P.S. I had this same feeling with my last baby - the shower situation was exactly the same (our gap then was 5 years, so we had even less baby stuff then). We had more financial wiggle room, but I struggled postpartum and really could have used a robust meal train.

You sound like a victim. Old church lady here. There are people at church who always complain every day about something. Your OWN small group neglected you? My small group family would go to the moon for me or anyone else. Something is amiss. A mom in a different group has her child going to college in the fall and we are giving her a dorm shower. Something in your countenance is off putting, if this story is true. God’s children are not perfect but they are still human. Ask yourself Why? What am I doing that the other ladies with wonderful baby showers are not doing? There are people at church, energy vampires. When you are near them they suck the life out of the room. If this is Victory in Jesus: no thanks. Gloom gloom gloom doom doom doom. Do you complain about your husband and/or children? I won’t be around those women either. I do not say anything. If they asked for my instruction I would tell them that their negativity is off putting and depressing to hear ALL the time. Never a good day Never a good word. Every one has trials and troubles but not all the time year after year. Life is a roller coaster: up down up down.

I truly never realized Trump didn't put his hand on the bible when he was sworn in. I didn't watch many of the inaugural festivities, I was in DC but I as at the Gulag awaiting the J6 prisoners release. Unfortunately, this is very telling of what is happening today. He has said he doesn't believe he will go to heaven, I'm beginning to believe he is right.

Toll roads in Texas seems to be getting higher and higher. I know people that pay 21.00 a day round trip to drive to work 5 days a week. Heard that some toll roads are owned by foreign companies in Texas. How are they allowed to do that?

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard.
