Alibaba just said… “In the coming days, we will also open-source smaller-scale variants...” of the Qwen3.6 series (built for native multimodal agents) The timing + our active Alibaba Cloud AI partnership + EdgeCloud’s hybrid optimizations equals a REAL natural fit for cheap, scalable agent inference. …if Qwen happens to be the model Theta was beta testing, this would make the most complete sense in the whole AI agent narrative. Qwen is all about agents 🤖 Agents are proving to need heavy inference… whiz happens to be Theta’s most relevant use case right now. This combo would give us an open-source model that’s ~90% as capable as frontier models, with the latest multimodal abilities… but good enough, safer, and by far the CHEAPEST option. Theta already proved they can handle it by releasing the big papa Chinese Minimax model a few weeks ago. This is exactly the kind of lightweight/high-performance models the agent economy needs. Especially if you are going to use mobile AI edge nodes… Our decentralized edge network is built for this whole dang thing 🤖 Super excited to watch how this all connects in the weeks & months ahead 🔥 NFA… just connecting the dots 🩵

Qwen3 32B by Alibaba is now live on Theta EdgeCloud as a decentralized on-demand inference API, a large-scale LLM served across community GPU nodes using pipeline parallelism over the internet. 🧵

It’s clear that AI will wind up funding universal income. Let’s make that happen ASAP.
