🇺🇾🇧🇮 Uruguay y Burundi suscribieron el Comunicado Conjunto para el establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas. El documento fue firmado por la Emb. Laura Dupuy Lasserre y el Emb. Zéphyrin Maniratanga, Representantes Permanentes ante la ONU. En el marco de las Presidencias uruguayas de la CELAC y del G77 y China, y considerando que Burundi preside la Unión Africana, este paso fortalece el diálogo entre América Latina y el Caribe, África y el Sur Global, reafirmando el compromiso de Uruguay con el multilateralismo y la cooperación Sur-Sur.🇺🇾🇧🇮 Uruguay y la República de Burundi suscribieron el Comunicado Conjunto para el establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas. Alterna @GGonzalezuryun y el Agredado Militar MILAD José Varela expusieron ante oficiales de la escuela americana sobre la experiencia de los cascos azules uruguayos, una perspectiva diferente para los oficiales americanos. Uruguay, como presidente del @G77_UNHQ , participó de manera virtual en la conferencia de la @OCDE “El futuro de la cooperación para el desarrollo: definiendo orientaciones estratégicas”.
Se reafirmó la importancia de fortalecer el multilateralismo, la cooperación internacional y la acción colectiva para enfrentar las crecientes desigualdades y los desafíos económicos, climáticos y financieros que afectan a los países en desarrollo, destacando asimismo el papel de la cooperación Sur-Sur y triangular, así como la necesidad de avanzar hacia un sistema internacional más equitativo e inclusivo.

As the Presidency of the G77 and China, Uruguay participated in Santa Marta in the meeting of the Expanded Bureau of the High Level Committee on South-South Cooperation, within the framework of the BAPA+40 process. We reaffirm that South-South cooperation is a fundamental pillar of development, guided by the principles of sovereignty, non-conditionality, equality and mutual benefit, and that it must be strengthened as a key instrument of the Global South. The BAPA+40 process must be inclusive, transparent and led by Member States. We stress the importance of: Ensure full participation and influence of developing countries ➡️ Preserve the policy space of South-South cooperation as a different modality ➡️ Strengthening financing, technology transfer and capacity building ➡️ Closing digital gaps and enhancing the role of South-South cooperation in the transformation of Preserve the policy space of South-South cooperation as a different modality ➡️ Strengthening financing, technology transfer and capacity building ➡️ Closing digital gaps and enhancing the role of South-South cooperation in digital transformation.

Participamos en la apertura del Conferencia de Revisión del Tratado de No Proliferación (TNP), insistiendo en que el desarme nuclear debe ser total, verificable e irreversible. Ante un contexto de crecientes tensiones geopolíticas y modernización de arsenales, es urgente frenar estas dinámicas y avanzar en el cumplimiento del Artículo VI del Tratado. Subrayamos la importancia del Tratado de Tlatelolco, primera zona libre de armas nucleares del mundo, fuente de inspiración otras creadas posteriormente; el Tratado sobre la Prohibición de las Armas Nucleares (TPAN) como un instrumento complementario que fortalece la arquitectura internacional del desarme.Hoy más que nunca, necesitamos dar una buena señal a la comunidad internacional en pos de la paz y la seguridad internacionales. Sin voluntad política no es posible avanzar en el desarme nuclear. #npt

En su calidad de Presidencia del G77 y China mantuvimos un diálogo informal sobre la liquidez en las Operaciones de Paz , con participación del Contralor de la ONU, Sr. Chandramouli Ramanathan, y los principales países contribuyentes de tropas (TCC/PCC).
➡️ Se evidenciaron crecientes desafíos de liquidez que afectan la implementación plena de los mandatos
➡️ La falta de recursos suficientes y oportunos profundiza las restricciones financieras en terreno
➡️ Los TCC/PCC están, en la práctica, financiando las operaciones debido a retrasos en los reembolsos
➡️ El G77 y China subraya la urgencia de abordar esta situación
➡️ Es esencial garantizar sostenibilidad financiera y equidad para quienes contribuyen en el terreno
