@geomel_ge My friend, it would be better to do a research first - they have installed a brand new, state of art telescope in that observatory, after a full rehabilitation of the complex. So unless you want to mislead people on purpose, this is utter bullshit what you just imagined here.

Somewhere deep in the Georgian mountains, the sky just closed. A no-fly zone, larger than greater Tbilisi, appeared almost without notice. The official story involves a telescope. The telescope hasn't been touched since the Khrushchev era. The real story involves something else entirely. 👽🧵 [1/10]

I spoke on the House floor about how the anti-American Georgian Dream party supports the terrorist regime in Iran. Recently, on March 2nd, the Georgian Dream party expressed condolences on the death of the Iranian supreme mass murderer Khamenei. The people of Georgia deserve to live free of China, Iran, and Russia.

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS — TBILISI, GEORGIA 🇬🇪🔥 🇪🇺🇺🇦🇺🇸 FOREIGN FLAGS FLOOD THE STREETS AS PROTESTS TURN GEOPOLITICAL Tbilisi, tonight. Thousands of protesters have again occupied Rustaveli Avenue, demanding the withdrawal of Georgia’s foreign-influence transparency law. But tonight’s demonstrations crossed a new line — not in size, but in symbolism. Alongside Georgian flags, the crowd is dominated by EU 🇪🇺, Ukrainian 🇺🇦, and U.S. 🇺🇸 flags. This is no longer framed as a purely domestic protest. ⚠️ WHAT THEY WANT — AND HOW THEY SHOW IT The demonstrations oppose a law requiring NGOs and media outlets to disclose foreign funding if more than 20% of their finances come from abroad. Authorities say it’s transparency. Protest leaders call it “anti-European.” The message on the street is explicit: this protest chooses sides. The flags are not decoration. They are a declaration — of alignment, of loyalty, of direction. 💥 WHY THIS IS CONTROVERSIAL In most countries, waving foreign flags at a protest against your own government would raise uncomfortable questions. In Georgia tonight, it has become the headline. Supporters say it proves Georgia’s “European future.” Critics say it confirms what many suspected: this is not just civic anger — it is a geopolitical campaign. That tension exploded further after authorities froze the accounts of organizations accused of financing protest logistics, prompting immediate condemnation from Western NGOs and media — but no denial of foreign funding. 🌍 A FAULT LINE OPENS Georgia now stands in a familiar Eastern European dilemma: •sovereignty vs alignment •voters vs NGO networks •elections vs permanent street pressure The street chants speak of democracy. The flags speak of geopolitics. And the government is now openly challenging who really holds power. 🔥 THE QUESTION HANGING OVER TBILISI TONIGHT If a protest against a transparency law cannot exist without foreign symbols, whose influence is it actually resisting? The streets are full. The message is sharpened. And Georgia’s political crisis just entered a far more dangerous phase. Developing. — Slavic Networks @Nirali_1989 @VladVVeles @SlavFreeSpirit

🇹🇷 TURKISH MILITARY PLANE FALLS FROM THE SKY - 20 DEAD, QUESTIONS HANG HEAVY A Turkish C-130 Hercules, the military workhorse of half a century, disintegrated over Georgia’s Sighnaghi hills last night - killing all 20 aboard. No distress call... just metal scattered across farmland near the Azerbaijan border. The aircraft was flying from Ganja, Azerbaijan, to Merzifon, Turkey, after what insiders say was a post–Victory Day shuttle - ferrying soldiers home days after Ankara and Baku celebrated their 2020 triumph over Armenia. The wreckage burned into the soil of an ally’s land, less than an hour after takeoff. Built in 1968, the plane had served Saudi Arabia before joining Turkey’s fleet in 2010. It was, in aviation terms, a veteran - or a liability. Ankara’s defense minister called the victims “martyrs.” Georgian officials called for patience. But no one’s saying what everyone’s thinking: Was this fatigue, failure, or something else? Source: AP, NTV, Sozcu

🚨🇹🇷🇬🇪 TURKISH MILITARY PLANE CRASHES IN GEORGIA - FIREBALL OVER STRATEGIC AIR CORRIDOR A Turkish Air Force C-130 just fell out of the sky over Georgia - and into the fault lines of the Caucasus. The Hercules lifted off from Azerbaijan on a “routine” run before disintegrating near the border. Locals saw a fireball. Ankara saw a crisis. Official line: search-and-rescue. Unofficial vibe: what the hell just happened? That flight path isn’t random - it’s the artery of Turkey’s quiet empire-building, stitching together Ankara, Baku, and Tbilisi in a triangle of influence that keeps Moscow and Tehran watching nervously. Now one of those arteries is bleeding aviation fuel. Maybe it was metal fatigue. Maybe it wasn’t. But every intelligence desk from Yerevan to Washington will be reading this wreckage like scripture. Expect Ankara to call it an accident, until not calling it an accident becomes safer. Because in the Caucasus, nothing crashes without consequence - not planes, not alliances, not power. When Finnish foreign minister, acting @OSCE chair, made a video of herself breaking the law while blocking the central Avenue in Tbilisi, she was actually seen speaking to one of the infamous representatives of the extremist groups. In the other video, Mariam Mekantsishvili, the same extremist who complained to the Minister about the ‘poor democratic standards’ in Georgia, is exposed as one of the organizers of the violent mob in the process of the assault on the presidential palace on October 4. The footage has been published today by Georgia’s Ministry of Interior after her arrest this morning. When a European politician gets caught validating those involved in domestic terrorism, one must ask: is she unaware of what she is doing or is she deliberately vindicating the evil? Neither answer is encouraging. What was obvious to every Georgian – that the Minister’s appearance in front of the Parliament meant the support for the radicals – proved factually correct. Precisely such frivolous activism is an example of current EU foreign policy. We, Georgians, have no right to pursue or tolerate such frivolousness, as it is both dangerous and alien to our values. Actually, this is the real issue that Brussels has with Georgia. With this in mind, I am fully aware that calls for the right behavior are futile. However, after being exposed in embracing domestic terrorists, a responsible politician would resign as acting Chair of OSCE.

Prime Minister Kobakhidze, The Georgian future is only for the Georgian people to decide. The same applies to every OSCE participating state. For people to be able to exercise this right, they need freedom of speech and free and fair elections with political alternatives to choose from. Helsinki Final Act (1975): ✔️[Participating states] commit to promote and encourage the effective exercise of civil, political, economic, social, cultural, and other rights and freedoms for all individuals. ✔️They affirm that these rights and freedoms derive from the inherent dignity of the human person and are essential to the development of free and democratic societies. In this spirit, as Chair of the OSCE and 50 years since the signing of this document, I invite you, @PM_Kobakhidze, to come to Finland, meet the free press and observe any demonstration of your liking. PS. Sorry I had to cancel our meeting in Tbilisi because of clashing schedules.

It is *insane* for a European Minister of Foreign Affairs to march in front of a foreign parliament and call for regime change. This is the exclusive privilege of the Euro-Atlantic axis — no one outside this bloc behaves with such naked, neo-colonial arrogance.
Elina Valtonen@elinavaltonen

Peaceful protestors have gathered in front of the Parliament Building in Tbilisi, Georgia, to voice their concern over the repressive direction of their country. They have every right to democracy, to freedom of expression and basic human rights. We are here to support them.
