@CoachRexWalters It certainly did work out well for u Rex. As a college coach, I saw a number of prospects be negatively impacted. Ur relationship with ur dad had a lot to do with how u responded.

@GGrensing27723 Valid. My father focused on Effort and Decision Making (making the right play). Worked out pretty good for me. Team wasn’t affected. Actually, I wasn’t affected. I wasn’t one to look up in the stands. lol.

I’m not saying I’m perfect but my father yelled at me from the top of the bleachers every game until about the 12th Grade. He had high standards and thank goodness. He made me tougher, smarter and more competitive. Some people will disagree with this.

@Jays_Classic Ben’s impact on winning was instrumental in the success CU had during his four years paired with Ryan Sears to make up a HOF backcourt!

Draymond COOKED Charles Barkley 😭 Charles: "It always ends. Sports are for young people. Nobody wins when they're 37." Draymond: "I think the goal is just to not look like you in a Houston Rockets uniform."

“I was recruited to K-State by Coach Lon Kruger and Dana Altman and that staff, I came here for an elite camp, so all those people and all those names I knew growing up.” John Cooper, a Kansas City native, has a rich history with K-State. Story: kstatesports.com/news/2026/4/20…

@SeanPaulCBB I’d guess there are a number of programs where he could do that and be well coached and win

@loganhgolf9 All this guy wanted was a response, clearly wanting to be noticed. What GW did was nothing short of miraculous

Fuck off man. If we can’t enjoy moments like this why do we even watch the sport? There doesn’t need to be any asterisk or anything it was an incredible performance by an incredibly deserving man

@EvanMiya Gillespie is great the first 35 minutes of a game. He struggles in the last 5 minutes. He had all 3 of his turnovers in the last 5:42 of the Virginia game. He made a brain dead foul with 10 seconds left giving Virginia one last gasp. His 6-6 free throw shooting saved him.

Ja'Kobi Gillespie is the biggest reason why Tennessee has made a Sweet 16, yet very few people are talking about the impact he's having. Gillespie rates as the 5th most valuable player in the country at EvanMiya.com. He's an efficient scorer at all levels and a tremendous playmaker. He's a steal machine, and he makes his teammates better.

@SethDavisHoops IF the opponent has someone on the floor who is a marginal ft shooter, I think it’s a good strategy. Even if he makes both , ur team controls both the ball and ur fate

Golden said after the game he wanted to foul one of Iowa's role players and see if he could make two FTs under pressure. That would have given the Gators one more possession or at least gotten to OT. We all know about the foul-up-three but have you ever heard of foul up two?

A father watched his son show off a new trophy through a thick window as the visit was about to end. Seeing their heartbreak, an officer opened the door so they could finally hug and celebrate together. True compassion can bridge even the widest distances ❤️

@Sam_Neumann_ Point was still being paid by previous employer which COULD lead to bias. While trying to justify his “opinion”, BP obviously, spoke from his heart and his history rubs many the wrong way but the controversy isn’t all bad for the show

@ESPNDari @GottliebShow Well said Dari! Doug isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but his passion and love for the game, installed by his dad, is elite level. Congrats to Doug, his staff and his team

Credit where it’s due. He wanted it. He got it. He sacrificed for it. He’s earned it. Congrats, @GottliebShow and your team. I’ve known Doug a long time. Many of my radio listeners won’t like this, but he’s a great example of what chasing your dreams can lead to. Bedlam be damned (at least in this case). Well done, DG.

The Green Bay men’s basketball team is headed to Indianapolis. They defeat Purdue Fort Wayne 64-56. Doug Gottlieb leads UWGB to its first Horizon League Conference Tournament win in a half decade. What a turnaround. 4-28 to 18 wins. Gottlieb choked up on the mic. Wow.

@dandakich The bottom line is there is little if any incentive for a Power 4 program to play MAC, MVC, A-10 and any other MM teams at home on the road etc.. Is it “fair” then that Miami is judged as to have a weak schedule? No. And officials have been paid more by Power 4 or 5 forever

Dirty little secret in college hoops Referees Pay MAC game pays refs $2000-$2500 per game Big Ten pays refs $2800-$4200 per game Who do you think refs want to keep happy? The MAC coach or the Big 10 coach? Easy answer When MAC teams go to B10 arena's the fucking is legendary (got a nasty nasty call from bosses at ESPN for saying this on air...the B10 Commish Delaney was pissed I exposed this)
Dan Dakich@dandakich

If the MAC is a soft touch as a hoops league why are Big 10 schools so damn afraid of a legit home and home series? Schools are close Travel is easy Dont give me the “NET” “quad 1 or quad 4” bullshit… Big 10 schools have been chickenshit to go to MAC arenas way before “NET” … @MiamiOH_BBall deserves to be in period Don’t At Me
