@ChrisCoop_ The Yankees were really hoping he’d emerge to play left field and bat to his ability. He didn’t and so they spent 150M on Bellinger. Grisham has a 1 year deal which represents JD’s next chance to play outfield every day for the Yankees.

This whole Jasson Dominguez to AAA debacle was such a good litmus test on my timeline to see who actually knows what they're talking about and who is just babbling for engagement. Jasson Dominguez was sent to the minors because the Yankees have 3 OFs who posted above an 800 OPS last year, all three practically being 30 HR guys that are either average or well above average fielders. The fielding is abysmal (there's no sugar coating how bad it is) and the bat could use some tune ups (he's looked incredible this Spring), but pretending like this is some kind of demotion in spite of him not being big league ready rather than just a surplus of better talent on the roster is soooooooo painfully dishonest haha. There's a difference between being sent down because you're not big league ready vs being sent down because there's just surplus talent that's more ready. This kid is only 23 years old lmaoo he very well could become a stud, which I think there's a decent chance of happening. Mickey Mantle/super star level? Obviously not, nobody seriously thought that. But high impact bat in the future? Of course I think so

@wuzguchi714 @tezah__ This is false. Especially for WRs, RBs, DBs, Safties, and run-first QBs. The 40 is arguably the single most important combine drill for those positions and effects draft stock (and therefore their first contract amount), heavily. They definitely train specifically for it.

It’s pretty crazy at this point. As a Bills/Yankees fan, I see the exact same with Josh Allen. They expect them to be Superman all the time and the moment they have a slump or bad game the hate gets even louder. Unfortunately, usually when either is slumping or having a bad game their teams don’t pick them up and take some of the load off. When they are doing well though they still find reasons to hate.

But what about the WBC was indicative of it not being a crapshoot? Eduardo Rodriguez and his 5.02 ERA throwing 4.1 IP of no run baseball against one of the greatest lineups you can possibly assemble is legitimately exactly representative of that😂 What's funny is if this super team was a hypothetical Cashman roster, 50% of the fanbase would call for Cash to get fired and say the roster construction was faulty because they can't hit when it mattered. I don't understand why people hate hearing how faulty and silly baseball is in small sample sizes. The WBC was 7 games. Sometimes teams' playoff schedules only see 3-5 days. If you diced up the 162 game season into 7 game windows, you'd find maybe the entire player base of MLB at the top of OPS rankings in at least one of those windows.
