.@BhamCityCouncil have stolen £700m+ from working women. Talk of enquiries, threats over jobs but only thing we should be hearing is: 1. Sorry for the harm that has been caused 2. How they will pay women back what has been stolen from them, as quickly as possible.

I'm gobsmacked! Staff being abused & threatened in shops daily by real criminals, yet police don't attend, but they will stand on a gate stopping a legal peaceful protest!

This absolutely shocking admission from Birmingham City Council would never have come to light if it were not for @GMB_union members & fabulous reps standing firm, and refusing to allow the city to sweep it under the carpet with a paltry pay off! 💪 ✊️

These women have sat patiently for 6 months, willing the employer to do the right thing - pay them fairly. Today, they'd had enough. They stood up, and they took control. No one wants to take strike action. But destiny is in your hands and not in those of your employers.

Our women members have been short changed for decades. @BhamCityCouncil accept this, but still delay doing the right thing and fixing it once and for all. @GMBBirmPubServ deserve better, and demand equal pay justice. Now! ✊

Who is really running @BhamCityCouncil? The people of the city didn’t elect the legal officers tying themselves in knots trying to deny our members pay justice. Whether the @BrumLabour leadership is weak or malicious, if it takes a strike ballot to focus minds then so be it.
