@bayesianboy From my understanding, that is meant to help with: formatting, grammar, rendering of equations/tables, and so on. That wouldn't be too bad, considering that adapting a submission from journal A to journal B is sometimes a pain. That said, I agree

it costs you $0 to google "chess board setup" and realize you've got it rotated 90 degrees

BIG NEWS: Today we are launching @blockitAI -- the first AI scheduling agent that actually understands your time. After spending my career as a partner at @sequoia, I stepped back to build this. Why? Because I believe the calendar is the last untouched social network, and it can only now be unlocked through AI. Our scheduling agent can handle any degree of complexity and has spread purely through virality to date. Blockit now works for 200+ companies and has coordinated 100,000+ meetings — all with zero humans in the loop. We're excited to emerge from stealth and announce our $5M raise from @sequoia led by Pat Grady (@gradypb) with participation from @haystackvc, @adjacent, Original, and NPV, i.e. Jeff Weiner, the former CEO of Linkedin. Come for the agent, stay for the network — get started free today at blockit.com

@interesting_aIl Moving the knight back is a way to generate an advantage for the opponent. It is very disrespectful, especially if you consider that Dina is a WGM

As an example of how we are building on top of Gemini 3, AI Mode in Search now uses Gemini 3 to enable new generative UI experiences, all generated completely on the fly based on your query. Here’s how you might use this to learn a complex topic like how RNA polymerase works.

I’m really excited about our release of Gemini 3 today, the result of hard work by many, many people in the Gemini team and all across Google! 🎊 We’ve built many exciting new product experiences with it, as you’ll see today and in the coming weeks and months. You can find it today on @GeminiApp and AI Mode in Search. For developers, you can build with it now in @GoogleAIStudio and Vertex AI. blog.google/products/gemin… The model performs quite well on a wide range of benchmarks.

@d4nggibson @miniapeur The initial idea of RNA velocity is that you can use spliced vs unspliced RNA to infer the dynamics of the single genes. An increase in unspliced vs spliced indicates a "boost" in expression, while the opposite suggests silencing. From scVelo:

@NoFarmsNoFoods If nobody wants it, why do you all need a ban? I'd be pleased to know no animal suffered for my steak. You don't even try to have an argument for that; it's just to protect your business

Italy have banned this. The UK should do the same. Fresh food from local farmers should be the priority.

When it’s a word pattern matcher, it’s a word pattern matcher. You might think it’s intelligence, but it’s a word pattern matcher. It’s not a belittlement. It’s just what it is.

🚨 Our parent-of-origin study is out in @Nature ! 🧬 Maternal and paternal alleles can have distinct — even opposite — effects on human traits, revealing a hidden layer of genetic architecture that standard GWAS miss. 🔗nature.com/articles/s4158… Highlights below!
