@GOCAmerica To be fair, the Church of the East basically said one of the Councils had nothing to do with them because it involved only Churches they weren't directly affiliated with. I don't know the specifics though.

If "Orthodox Churches" do not adhere to the decrees and canons of the 7 Ecumenical Councils, they are NOT Orthodox. Orthodoxy is not just a title or historical place; it is a historical Church that is rooted in the 7 Ecumenical Councils.

This is definitely concerning. No one…ever should be charging for baptisms. I don’t care the reason. This needs to end. If the priest doesn’t know the people he shouldn’t baptize them or their children. There is no excuse for this. Not one

@manwitheyesopen @Orthodoxmaximus @noetic_healing If you are trying to find a loophole to charge someone for baptism, then you could argue that. But the charge should not be more than 3 dollars for a baptismal certificate.

@Orthodoxmaximus @noetic_healing It is wrong to charge for any mystery the Church offers. The 6th Ecumenical Council strictly forbids this and says that if one be caught, whether he is a bishop or priest, he should be deposed.

@noetic_healing My local GOArch parish sent me a letter saying that I was "required" to pay a $325 fee to be baptized there. And on top of the $325 fee I also had to purchase my own robe, candle, baptismal cross, oil, icon, and if my Godparent wasn’t a regular donor he’d have to pay a $800 fee.

This video is of kenzi who has a disability that will significantly shorten her life. She has an adorable husband and loves Jesus , she preaches him with her online platform day in and day out. I read the comments and to my shock many of her brothers and sisters in Christ made fun of her. @KakiShel even called her ugly when her bio says to “love the Lord with all your heart” Kenzi is precious and I love her. She takes a ton of abuse online and continues to preach Christ… now she takes that abuse from her brethren in the Lord? What’s wrong with all of you? Are you better? Can she help how she is born? This is shameful how many of you commented negatively, do better.
