We are deeply concerned by the recent incident in Ostriv, Ukraine, where a @UNOCHA convoy was hit by drones while delivering aid.
Under #IHL, humanitarian personnel, facilities and transport used in relief operations must be respected and protected at all times. #NotATarget

The numbers tell a clear story: humanitarian work is becoming increasingly deadly, and local staff and volunteers are paying the heaviest price. The Red Cross, Red Crescent and Red Crystal emblems are symbols of protection. As we said in our statement last week, humanitarian personnel, facilities and assets must be respected and protected. Attacks on humanitarians are unacceptable. They must never be normalized.
