US Navy veteran thinks Britain invaded the Falklands in April 1982... It's official, those red hats cause brain damage 🙄

@J_Tanswell Right decision by the manager, hasn't deserved a place in the squad on current form but hopefully he's been told that the door is still open for the World Cup if he can play better and ultimately score some goals.

No Ollie Watkins in the England squad. Thomas Tuchel ultimately goes for Dominic Solanke and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the enlarged squad. Had a decent few games against Lille but has struggled on the whole this season. #AVFC

English

@theopenbook2 This is so good! I got 39.13/50. Not too shabby.

@JoannaCannon Let's hope so but I dont see it going down for the next few weeks 😒
You keep selling your books and I'll keep decorating these houses and we'll get through it 😄

@GPDecorating It's insane, isn't it? Hopefully it's just a panic spike and they'll go back down again.

@JoannaCannon £1.65 I've paid this morning, over a pound a gallon more than last week, cant put my prices up tho to cover the extra cost of the 30 odd mile round trip to my clients house.
Got a job in Cheltenham coming up, be easier to stay there and save the fuel price 😀

@GPDecorating Crackers, isn't it? I remember being at med school (commuting) and it was £1.45, which felt like the end of the world ...

@FXMC1957 Great programme, I had the board game as a kid, around 1975/76

@JoannaCannon Memories from childhood are so emotional, finding things like your teddy brings everything back, not surprised you got upset.
English

To avoid dealing with my emotions, I've thrown myself into a project instead (because why change the habit of a lifetime) and I decided to clear out the giant workshop next to my house.
So backstory:
When I was little, I had two 'important' teddy bears: Gold Ted and White Ted. Gold Ted is still sitting safe & sound, and watching over me, but White Ted disappeared years ago and I never knew where she went. I've thought about her a lot over the years and I always hoped I'd stumble across her again one day. As I've been clearing out the workshop, she's been on my mind. I've been tempted to look inside every bag of old clothes and blankets I've hauled out, just in case she might be hiding in one of them, but I told myself not to be silly (it would have doubled the time it's taken if I'd searched through every bag). Yesterday, when I *finally* reached the back wall, there was a cardboard box. I opened it to have a quick look inside, in case it was anything important, and there staring up at me, was White Ted. I just burst into tears. I can't believe I found her again after all these years. I know it's ridiculous at my age to be crying over a teddy bear, but she played such a big role in my childhood. Now she's back and reunited with Gold Ted, and I could not be happier.
Nothing in that workshop has upset me so far ... but an old, battered teddy bear with one ear and one eye, tipped me over the edge. And maybe (just maybe) throwing yourself into a project is the best way of dealing with your emotions after all.

Happy birthday to my Villa twitter birthday twin @MattH1874 ! Although I’m older than him today so that’s a bugger, have a great day!
English

@myoldmansaid Losing our 3 best midfielders has totally derailed us but with McGinn back and Youri close hopefully that will solidify us.
Settle on a defence, our best run was with Lindelof and Konsa, won only 1 game that Mings has started this season.
Take Watkins out for Tammy, needs a rest
English

9 points from the last 30.
Villa’s form over the last ten games is a serious concern.
What do you change to start winning?
It’s not looking good, although somehow they’re still 4th.
