Every person newly diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes needs to know that it can be reversed. Share widely and read Professor Roy Taylor’s book ”Life without Diabetes” where he expands on the concept of Type-2 diabetes as “chronic food poisoning” @BritSocLM diabetes.org.uk/about_us/news/…

@TheDrMagazine @seren_boyd Speaks volumes about what we are missing. Had a 76yr old this morning ‘hasn’t been exposed to DA’ but then proceeded to tell me about having boiling hot saucepans of Food thrown at her etc. If we don’t ask people will not talk about it. Great article- thank you

@Saramac7 We are still wearing masks and asking patients to wear them. Provide them for those who are happy to put one on. Not mandatory but have had increasing numbers of staff off with bad COVID and flu despite us being vaccinated.

But it should not have to be like this. General Practice needs to be better supported by the system- government/NHSE and the media. Various plausible solutions exist, only if there is willingness to engage and not berate.
