💔 15-year-old Arina Yatsiuk was killed by Russian soldiers together with her mother and father on March 3, 2022. The family was trying to escape the occupation, but Russian troops shot their car on the Zhytomyr highway. The girl’s parents were killed on the spot, and the wounded Arina was taken away by Russian soldiers. Her body was found a year later in a morgue in Belarus… The Yatsiuk family initially evacuated from Kyiv to their dacha in the village of Severynivka, but on March 3 they decided to travel to the city of Uman, where the grandparents lived. The family was traveling in two cars: in one were Anna with the younger daughter Lera, and in the other Denis with the older daughter Arina. When they reached the highway near the village of Motyzhyn, both cars were shot at by Russian soldiers. The parents died immediately from gunshot wounds. Arina was wounded in the leg. Russian soldiers took the sisters into different tanks. The younger girl, Valeria, was dropped off in the village of Kopyliv and handed over to local residents, while Arina’s fate remained unknown. Her relatives searched for her, but… the girl’s body was later returned to Ukraine during an exchange. She was identified by DNA. 🕯️Anna Yatsiuk, 41, head of a department at a concrete manufacturing company; 🕯️Denis Yatsiuk, a logistics specialist at a concrete manufacturing company; 🕯️Arina Yatsiuk, 15, a 9th-grade student at Kyiv School No. 249.
