It was awesome to host Benjamin Little (@BridgerPhotonic ) and Laura Orvidas (@onXmaps) at last night’s Reveal Rendezvous. Two incredible Bozeman company CEOs. Every time we get this group together, it’s a reminder of how special this community is. So many sharp, curious people in one room — builders, operators, thinkers — all sharing ideas, asking questions, and pushing each other forward. You can almost see the wheels turning in real time. That kind of energy is what grows communities, sparks new partnerships, and ultimately builds better companies. We covered a lot of ground — from AI and remote work, to how to approach partnerships, to the intersection of technology, creativity, and the outdoors. The conversations were honest, thoughtful, and exactly the kind you don’t get enough of day-to-day. As 2025 closes & 26 rolls on I can’t help but reflect on years past. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have worked in Ukraine, directly alongside the @25ab_brigade , training & operating under real combat conditions in Pokrovsk. Being on the ground adapting tactics in real time, and spending time near the front w/ FPV drone teams—was a humbling experience. There is no substitute for seeing how innovation, discipline, and resilience intersect in a real world environment. What stood out most wasn’t the technology alone, but the people. Operators learning, adjusting, and pushing forward despite constant pressure and tech changing every 3/6 months. Teams taking new tools and tactics and immediately stress-testing them in contested environments. The speed at which lessons are learned and relearned on the battlefield is something no classroom or lab can fully replicate. I’m thankful for the trust placed in myself over the last 3+ years, for the professionalism of those we have worked beside, and for the opportunity to contribute—however modestly—to efforts that matter deeply. Experiences like these reinforce a simple truth: modern conflict is evolving faster than doctrine, and the only way to keep pace is to stay forward, stay honest, and stay adaptable. A U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II takes off from USS Tripoli (LHA 7). The F-35B can take off from shorter runways and land vertically, allowing it to operate from Tripoli’s flight deck, which is less than 850 feet in length. Tripoli is currently sailing in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
