@DaveCalChetty @GSumoBreakdown 8-7 does count. If he ends up with 12-3 here he would need 13-2 in November. But that’s tough more likely he’d achieve his 33 wins in 3 bashos in January to be Ozeki in March

Takakeisho has officially announced his retirement. He will be missed on the dohyo, but this is clearly the right move for his long-term health.

Have to imagine it will just be a matter of time before a retirement announcement comes.
