What you're talking about is from the CIA guidebook on how to curtail governments from taking full charge of their national integrity and regional security cooperation. SAF is right to coordinated with the official government of Libya to secure their borders and also address security issues. From what you present you want to hold the SAF back from taking full charge and address the threats of RAF. You've equalised both sides and by playing all-sideism you are promoting the continued crises.

The SAF continues to accuse Khalifa Haftar of fueling Sudan’s war — facilitating weapons flows and hosting elements of the Rapid Support Forces. But at the same time, Sudanese military officials are in Tripoli expanding intelligence-sharing and security coordination with Libya’s internationally recognized government. That contradiction matters. You can’t position yourself as the victim of foreign interference while actively deepening cross-border military relationships in the middle of a civil war. The SAF’s framing is selective — interference is condemned when it benefits their opponent, and normalized when it benefits them. And this isn’t just diplomacy. Intelligence cooperation and security coordination are escalatory tools. They draw neighboring states into the operational logic of the conflict, whether directly or indirectly. What emerges is a war that is no longer contained within Sudan’s borders. On one side, persistent allegations of Haftar–RSF alignment. On the other, SAF–Tripoli coordination. Different channels, same direction of travel: regionalization. The risk here isn’t just inconsistency — it’s escalation. Because once a civil war embeds itself in neighboring security structures, it stops being a contained conflict and starts behaving like a networked one. Supply lines expand, intelligence flows deepen, and the incentives to de-escalate shrink. The SAF may frame this as strategic necessity. But the outcome is the same: Sudan’s war is no longer just Sudan’s war. sudantribune.com/article/312446

@DavidGreenhh The "if" is what matters in the case of Ethiopia. Its internal chaos and the regional conflict it keeps sponsoring is what will prevent it from becoming what you say it could.

Ethiopia is positioning itself for major transformation over the next two decades, focusing on energy exports, industrial growth, and digital expansion. Analysts say the country could emerge as a key economic and political power in Africa if stability is maintained.

Addis Ababa is more than a capital. It is a vision in motion, a gateway to Ethiopia’s future! As the beating heart of a rapidly transforming nation, Addis Ababa embodies our bold ambition for inclusive and forward-looking urbanisation. We are building not only for today, but for generations to come by expanding modern infrastructure, advancing smart city solutions, creating inclusive housing, and championing sustainable growth. Across Ethiopia, our cities are being shaped to empower people, unlock potential, and secure lasting prosperity. Ours is a nation where progress and heritage stand side by side. Where ancient civilisations inspire modern achievement. Where investors discover vast, untapped opportunity across diverse sectors and regions. From the streets of Addis Ababa to the farthest reaches of our country, Ethiopia stands ready, resilient, dynamic, and open for business. As the diplomatic capital of Africa, Addis Ababa connects the world to a rising continent. It positions Ethiopia as a strategic gateway to African markets and a hub for global partnership. Yet Ethiopia offers more than opportunity. It offers discovery. The future is being built here. Invest in Ethiopia. Explore Ethiopia. Grow with Ethiopia.

Kofi.. always magnanimous and gracious.. yes, thank you for your comment. It means a lot coming from a Ghanaian wrapped in a true panafrican sentiment. All the past glories of Ethiopia's Africa Cup wins were due to Eritrean players while Eritrea was under Ethiopian occupation. But as the war for independence raged on and successive Ethiopian governments led the country into complete chaos and displacement all those Eritrean players for the Ethiopian team were either imprisoned, exiled or left to join the Eritrean liberation war and football in both Eritrea and Ethiopia died. Even though Ethiopia continued to take part in several African football tournaments it continues to be an underdog without its Eritrean players. Eritrea was also marginalized and isolated politically by western powers who did not like its independent stand about its sovereignty, thus caused a major delay for the comeback into African football. Eritrea believes in building its people before building glittering cities and as a result it has taken top spots in the world in cycling and other significant places in many other sports. Now its time for the emergence of Eritrea in CECAFA and AFCON stages and grow to reclaim its position among legends of Africa in Football.

@Euractiv Africa has been torn apart for far too long in the interests of others and here you are blindly breaking a nation with falsified claims. Europe could still get the same and more benefits without breaking up Somalia and having to listen to dumb sources like you.

That's good news. This means and clearly shows that Ethiopia can grow without annexation of Assab. I think the news is more for Ethiopians to know that fact than to others who doubted Ethiopian growth. Ethiopia has all the potential to grow exponentially if it pacifys itself, learn to cooperate better with all its neighbours, avoid expansionist tendencies, build together and install meaningful and well cultured leaders. If what it gains every 20 years goes to waste with unnecessary wars both within and with the neighbourhood it can show even bigger progress.
