It's not a good morning here. I found an injured pigeon in the garden, tried calling for help, but nothing. The vets wanted to kill it without even seeing it. I did find a place but couldn't get it there until later, but it has now died. I'm so upset. I really wanted to save it.

@ylimeneerg Yes, it's very difficult to find help. Others have said the same as you about the birds dying suddenly of shock. It's very sad.

@GabrielBlake_ It is so bad getting help now for wildlife. There used to be a local lady that would take in injured birds but she had to stop do to lack of funds. There is another but that is a longer distance away and most of the time the same thing happens that has happened to your pigeon.

@G1nj3r Oh, I see. Sorry, I misunderstood. 🙏 As you know, it's just sad when you try to help and they don't make it. It's wonderful that you've managed to save some.

@GabrielBlake_ I meant, don't allow the incident to prey on your mind. I understand you did your best. The rest is up to God. We've rescued several birds over the years including pigeons, a Flicker, robins, even a Cedar Waxwing. Not all have been successful, but most have had happy endings.
