@GaelForceGroup @AilsaMcL I've been following the occurrences this year of these in the Loch Broom area. One seems to have escaped the Loch and wandered up to Orkney. Ashore in Birsay Bay yesterday

@peediepuss @sarahduce @AilsaMcL HI Martin. These are cover plates on the pen for identifying mooring and subsurface connection points. The covers lock into place and are designed to remain so. However, we have designed an added tether which now attaches from cover to pen to keep it from falling into the water.

@sarahduce @AilsaMcL @GaelForceGroup Same here. I presume that it's something new, an innovation. A great many cages here, have been for some decades now, and I'm familiar with the stuff they lose (much less than formerly) but this is new kit on me.

We came across another @GaelForceGroup sea farm clip on Badantarbet beach today, one of several now that have been found on local beaches in the area. Do we know where they have come from yet @AilsaMcL ? Any ideas @SSPOsays ? Possibly from a salmon farm in the Hebrides ?
