The US unemployment rate would be materially higher without the US budget deficit: The US federal budget deficit stands at -7.0% of nominal GDP, twice the 2018-2019 pre-pandemic levels. In nominal terms, the budget gap reached $1.2 trillion over the first 6 months of FY2026, the 3rd-worst first-half of any fiscal year in history. Historically, a deficit of this magnitude has only occurred during a deep recession or a severe economic crisis, when unemployment was surging well above average. Based on the historical relationship between the two, a deficit of -7.0% of GDP would correspond to an unemployment rate of ~8.5%, nearly double the current rate, per Zerohedge. In other words, the current deficit may be one of the primary reasons unemployment has not spiked significantly higher. The US deficit is running at recessionary levels.

Story time: I knew a man named Lance who was attracted to men. One day while praying, he says he received a personal revelation that authorized him to date (and eventually marry) another man. Just to be sure he wasn't letting his desires get the better of him, he prayed again to double check, and he felt the familiar burning in the bosom just as he had so many other times in your life. So he checked again the next day. Same answer. He didn't feel this was necessarily an answer for the whole Church. He wasn't prompted preach against scripture or denounce the President of the Church as a false prophet or anything. He couldn't explain the why or how the Lord was making it right for him, but for him specifically, he felt prompted to pursue a homosexual lifestyle. As he pondered on his quandary, he remembered the Book of Mormon. Killing was against the Law of Moses, wasn't it? And yet the Spirit prompted Nephi to decapitate a defenseless man. Obviously, personal revelation trumps all, right? So he married another man, he was excommunicated, and joined the RLDS church. You have likely heard similar accounts. How can you deal theologically with such stories? Satan is VERY good at imitating true revelation. "Even the elect" are liable to be deceived. But there are several 100% guaranteed safety guardrails Elder @DaleGRenlund says we can rely on, if we will but use them: 1. True personal revelation NEVER contradicts inspired scripture. 2. True personal revelation ONLY applies within your stewardship. 3. True personal revelation is ALWAYS in harmony with the commandments and covenants of God. 4. @rbswingtrader I know guy that’s been using a prop firm for over a year now he’s learned a lot and he’s been able to get funded and take some money out, but he still paid in probably twice as much to the prop firm as he’s been able to remove and put in his pocket.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of drama on this prop firm about huge payouts and how much money was wasted on the challenges themselves. Well, I think if someone has made 2x, 2x,3x or more out of the money paid to prop firms, it's justified. Can you follow them and do the same? It's very hard, as they trade 1-minute charts most of the time and may take a good amount of trades through different sessions to be net positive at the end of the day and over different accounts and get payout. You can't simply take every trade they take, and some of them might be just at odd times, overnight, etc. You need to learn it and get yourself skilled to do the same. Copy trading has made no one successful. The same skill can be applied in various ways on different time frames and on different kinds of portfolios. Focus on the right things rather than chasing one trade.
