It’s funny In Star Wars that typically whenever a member of an alien species first appears in the films, most subsequent media will proceed to portray whatever occupation they had as a major part of their species’ lore and have other members in that job There’s a joke to be made there

I'm having such a delightful time reading through the sequel trilogy era's novels/novelizations right now. Even if you don't love the movies– there are some incredible stories in these books. Bloodline and Phasma are great places to start!

@SCentralized By the end of RR they’ve begun building up a fleet. That ride takes place after and you see quite a few ships get taken out on it and then we’re kinda left with just the Tantive and 2 other small ships on Ajan Kloss (discounting fighters).

@Moyer_the_Boyar I wouldn’t say that. I’ve consumed all of Mace’s canon appearances and his few interactions with Jinn have been disagreements or agreeing with Kenobi when he’s reporting him. I think narratively it’s strange to say “actually those two were close” when there’s no evidence of it.

@Gage_FD @MJediB03 I think you may have misunderstood Mace as a character if you think he couldn't be friends with someone who thinks differently than him. The whole Council disagreed with Qui Gon but still respected him a lot, Mace being a friend isn't that much of a jump.

@CWilson2197 He didn’t tell the writers of NJO to kill Anakin.He just rejected their initial pitch where Anakin falls in love with a dark sider and succumbs to the dark side. After this pitch was rejected the authors invented the Yuzong Vong plot and killed him to add stakes to the conflict.

Yet he approved all of those story decisions when the writers presented them to him. He also told the writers for the New Jedi Order series to kill off Anakin Solo and make Jacen Solo the hero instead. Therefore, those are canon to George unlike the Hunt for Ben Solo which will never see the light of day.

@Gage_FD Yoda never encourage Sy to leave the order. He just tried to make him think the choice through before making it. The point was never that they can't leave, the issue is leaving when its all you know and it is a life thrust on you as a baby.

@MJediB03 Thought for sure the Jedi Knights comic which came out a little after this would’ve had an issue of them together or something but they put Qui Gon with Shaak Ti instead on mission semi related to Jango. Would’ve been a perfect Mace opportunity there.
