I finally saw Jo Koy's Golden Globes monologue. Eh, it wasn't as terrible as all you made it seem. Not great, but meh. Thing is he panicked when they didn't laugh and I feel he should have just leaned in with the discomfort. Him backtracking and apologizing was messed up.
