When I was in Italy a few years back, something kept catching my attention.
Old men in their 80s, walking the streets first thing in the morning.
No phones. No earbuds. Just walking.
They weren't trying to hit step counts.
They weren't tracking heart rate.
They were doing what their bodies have always known -
... getting morning sunlight into their eyes and movement into their joints before the day demanded anything else.
Most of them outlive the average American by close to a decade.
We've made health complicated.
It's time to get back to the basics.
American foods are cleverly changing their names because they no longer qualify as that legal food
- Pringles used to be potato chips, now they’re labeled as “potato crisps” per FDA rules
- McDonald’s Shakes are now called “shakes” (not legally milkshakes in some states)
- Klondike Bar is no longer a chocolate shell, it’s a Chocolatey shell (not real chocolate)
- Dairy Queen: All items are “treats” (no “ice cream” on the menu)
- Oreo changed the spelling to “creme” (alternative spelling, not real cream)
- Tyson changed spelling to “Wyngz” (It’s a processed chicken labeling trick)
- Costco Blueberry Bagels labels as Imitation blueberry bagels (no actual blueberries)
- Pearl Milling Company Syrup (formerly Aunt Jemima) Now ‘Original syrup’ not maple syrup. The first ingredients is corn syrup
Our food is a science experiment
Make America Healthy Again
@DrSuneelDhand I entered my diet and lab results into chat gpt and got amazing feedback with suggestions for improvement, what to watch for, etc. I can ask endless questions and access it whenever I want. Love it!
I’ve had several more people in the last week tell me how THRILLED they are with using AI for medical questions— and found answers to their questions (especially for natural healing)— that regular physicians were unable to help them with.
The medical profession has no idea what is about to come their way!
Especially if you are an establishment rigid protocol-following doctor who just reads off a script that your Board has given you— you’re gonna be toast within a few years.
Exciting times ahead for patients as they become more empowered and don’t rely on medical institutions holding all the cards!
@Mangan150 I totally avoided carbs in my trip last week at the hotel breakfasts. Eggs (if you can call them that) and turkey sausage (lower fat but still high fat).
But I avoided the French toast sticks and waffles which is what I would eat in past.
At a hotel breakfast, most people older and fairly affluent: everyone loading up on high glycemic carbs like pancakes, toast, pastries, pancakes, oatmeal.
They're avoiding the eggs and sausage and any other high protein foods.
Excess body fat, low muscle, many taking ginger steps so they don't trip and fall.
Given the age, most of them likely on multiple meds for blood pressure and cholesterol.
Sad situation.
@Mangan150 When traveling, I buy avocados and plain Greek yogurt at a grocery store and mix in fiber powders I bring from home. I’ll eat a hard boiled egg from the breakfast buffet, some fruit, nuts if they have them—and that’s it.
In the 1990s, JCPenney used to sell the best towels. They lasted up to 20 years and were made in the USA.
Even Target sold high quality towels in the early 2000s that were made in the USA. I still have a set I bought when I first moved out in 2001 that have held up well.
Now, I’m lucky if towels last a few years.
I would pay three times as much for towels made to the standards of the 1990s.
@ClimStefan@CoachDanGo Check out the portfolio diet. In two months my ldl dropped from 104 to 77. Lots of fiber, oat groats, hulled barley, beans, and nuts along with vegetables. I didn’t bother with the plant sterols. I put a TB of chia and a TB psyllium in my kefir every morning.
@CoachDanGo hmm interesting experiment. I have quite a high cholesterol (136 mg/dL), while being a sporty person. Could be a good experiment to try, thanks Dan!
I max dosed psyllium husk but did not expect this.
For the past 28 days, I've maxed out on psyllium husk, taking two tablespoons 3x a day, and it's quietly changed my life.
Here's what it did to my body:
@Simi_2210_ 190. Because 1 doubled =2, then add on 1+4 for the second digit and you get 25. Double 2 for the first digit of the next one, 2+5 for the second digit =47. Next is 4 doubled, then 4+7 which is 11, so the one in the tens column carries over for 91. So 9 doubled plus the 10 is 190.
@NickLondon999@HJB_News__@X Really? Look at a map 🤣 study some world history. Morocco invaded what is now Spain in 711 CE to start the spread of Islam. I learned that in eighth grade. They called the muslims Mores
Spain Is Finished!
Thousands of fighting age African Invaders are marching MILES across the border like a conquering army.
This isn’t ‘migration’. It’s the great replacement live on @X
My wife cannot roll her Rs. I taught my kids how to.
Naturally, this means that now on road trips they pass the time trolling her having competitions to see who can roll their Rs the longest.
Kids 🤣
The "Every Kid Outdoors" 4th Grader pass is incredible.
My daughter loves to brag "they're with me" as we enter each @NatlParkService park.
Highly recommend anyone with an eligible child take advantage of it!
Anyway, here's Bryce Canyon.
@Skuffering@ZenDaddyD@Bella_91m7u Weight gain after pregnancy is not inevitable. If only 2% stay in shape, that speaks more to self restraint and motivation than some inevitable process. Yes, your body changes with pregnancy but you don’t have to put on fat. Too many women use it as an excuse to overeat.
