The fact that it’s the most important thing in our lives is why it should be defended and scrutinized when attacked. It’s not mean to point out that Mormonism is a series of truth claims that attack Christianity and the real Jesus. It’s actually loving to point it out.
I think you should focus more on the content of the claims rather than the rhetoric. There’s nothing wrong with my rhetoric and it’s quite appropriate.
Also, Mormons are one of the least violently persecuted groups on the entire planet. Apart from some very unfortunate skirmishes in their founding days, which is very something that should be completely disavowed both then and now. Any and all religious violence should be condemned.
But speaking of religious violence and Mormon lies, Joseph Smith died firing as many bullets as he possibly could, which is nothing like a lamb going to slaughter as the Mormons falsely claim. If you’re gonna cry foul for religious persecution, don’t build a false narrative around it. Joseph Smith died like a dog, not a lamb. It’s a historical fact
English

@GalenBalinski @LordIsComin @RealTStevenson @benshapiro As history has shown, that rhetoric has led to justification of actual physical violence against those of my faith.
English

So I make a claim of serious, deeply seated, and pervasive heresy in a straightforward and clear way and you accuse me of having sin or something?? I don’t think you understand that verse very well
Ironically, that is something Satan would say. Some kind of vague and ambiguous accusation of sin to discredit a worthy word of caution against the false religion. Kind of makes me wonder if Mormonism is demonically influenced or something…

Dear “humans evolved from apes”,

@alorasmith @LordIsComin @RealTStevenson @benshapiro Mormonism is completly at odds with Christianity, the Bible, and gospel, and the real Jesus. Galatians 1:8 is very straightforward. Don’t overthink it. Paul saw Jesus being reinvented and warned it would happened again. Stating this in good faith is fair game.
English

@GalenBalinski @LordIsComin @RealTStevenson @benshapiro Nothing you've thrown out in this whole thread is new. Galatians 1:8 is not the slam dunk you think it is. You're welcome to disagree with us, but at least know what you're talking about before proactively attacking deeply held religious beliefs online.
English

@GalenBalinski @LordIsComin @RealTStevenson @benshapiro So, in this example:
Red Sox game = meeting where people worship Jesus Christ
Boston = members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Red Sox = Jesus Christ
Got it. Cool.
....because that's who we worship. Jesus Christ.
English

@KellyWilkins_X @RealTStevenson @benshapiro Please don’t tell lies about Jesus and the Bible as you “serve”
English

@JayLove2917 @GLConcreteCo @LaymansSeminary @grok Have you ever considered the possibility that Ignatius was wrong?
English

@GLConcreteCo @LaymansSeminary Ignatius of Antioch, student of the apostle John said (paraphrasing) that if you don't have the Bishop you do not have Christ.
Tell him @grok
English

This is what the Orthodox say, it's technically possible that others outside can be saved if God wills... But it won't be because of your heterodox teachings.
So why is it wrong when we say it?

Wes Huff: "I know people who I believe to be saved within the Roman Catholic Church. However, I believe them to be saved in spite of the teaching of Rome, not because of it." I appreciate your video @WesleyLHuff .
English

@twin_minerva @RealTStevenson @benshapiro That’s something to look for, yes. But I I would say propagating a lie all over the world is an example of bad fruit. Their sweet demeanor is duly noted and not enough to negate false teaching
English

@GalenBalinski @RealTStevenson @benshapiro Doesn't Matthew Ch. 7 also tell us how to tell if a tree is good?
English

@RealTStevenson @benshapiro Doesn’t scripture say Satan comes as an angel of light??
Didn’t Jesus call Pharisees brutal of vipers and even tell Peter get behind me Satan??
Just because somebody is kind and nice does not mean they’re truthful and it does not mean they are from the Lord
English

@GalenBalinski @benshapiro Oh
So let me get this straight…
…a demonic church disproportionately produces people who are kind…
Makes complete sense
English

@MartinP49146517 @WesleyLHuff @grok @grok you mean to tell me that there was not any group of Christians that believed scripture was the highest authority until the 1500s??
Yes, or no, only based on historical facts
English

I'm often asked why -- given my study in both the Bible and church history -- I am not Roman Catholic. I recently sat down in front of my camera and outlined some of why that is.

@MartinP49146517 @WesleyLHuff I agree with the 9th century claim
English

We defend the truth and the 2,000 year old Catholic Church established by Jesus Christ. I would lay down my life for my beliefs.
Protestantism lies to you. Protestantism is founded on lies. Satan is the Father of Lies.
People like Wess Huff lie to you. You never answered my question.
Wess Huff claims that the Catholic Church started in the 9th century.
Do you believe this lie?
Do you blame me for wanting to call out this lie?
English

Here’s an analogy! Your use of the word catholic is completely different than the way Ignatius used the word Catholic. Just like Mormons talk about a person named Jesus, which has nothing to do with the actual person of Jesus. They just looked back 2000 years and use the steal a word to validate their erroneous teaching.
There’s a much more accurate analogy 😀
English

@GalenBalinski @WesleyLHuff It's not an analogy. It's a historical fact.
Protestant doctrines have absolutely nothing to do with ancient Christianity but are a deviation from them.
English

@MartinP49146517 @WesleyLHuff No. It’s just a false analogy. And you have to be intellectually dishonest to cling to the false analogy.
English

@GalenBalinski @WesleyLHuff I know the differences. You are ignoring the similarities.
English

@MartinP49146517 @WesleyLHuff Catholics are bullies and narcissists regarding historical sites as well
English

I visited the tomb of Catholic Saint Ignatius of Antioch in Rome 2 weeks ago.
He is buried in the altar of a 4th century Catholic Church that was built just a few years after Christianity had been legalised following 300 years of brutal Roman persecution.
I also visited the tombs of 7 of the 12 Apostles in Rome.
Catholic Saint Ignatius of Antioch would slap you in the face for pretending that 16th century Protestantism has anything to do with ancient 2,000 year old Apostolic Christianity. It doesn't.
Mormonism, Protestantism, Seventh Day Adventism, and Jehovahs Witnesses were born of the same principles. Just different degrees of silliness.
English

Dude, I understand what you said. I’m not an idiot.
Your analogy to Mormonism is what I find to be asinine. Protestantism is not to true Christianity what Mormonism is to true Christianity. There are a few generic corollaries between the two but to use Mormonism as a meaningful illustration it belligerently un insightful.
Also, comparing me in anyway to Mormonism is the most insulting thing I’ve heard in quite a long time.
English

@GalenBalinski @WesleyLHuff I didn't say you believe the same doctrines but like Mormonism, the Protestant doctrines you believe that were invented in the 16th century were never believed by the historic Christian church in the first over 1,500 years of Christianity.
This is historical fact.
English

That would be like going to a Red Sox game just to confirm Boston really roots for the Red Sox
Throughout life and years of pastoral ministry, I spoken to Mormons at tremendous length.
In other parts of this thread, I’ve made the clarification that I believe Mormons as individuals are very very nice and kind people. And in most cases that kindness is genuine. That does not change the heinous evil and heresy that comes from a demonic counterfeit of the Christ’s Church. My comment is not regarding Mormons as individuals but as a belief system, body of doctrine, and false religion. Hope that helps
English

@GalenBalinski @RealTStevenson @benshapiro Have you even come to our church for service? Have you heard any of our missionaries? Have you heard our prophet speak?
English

@MartinP49146517 @WesleyLHuff It’s nothing like Mormonism. You don’t have the ability to tell different things apart.
English

@GalenBalinski @WesleyLHuff Imagine a Mormon trying to convince you that Joseph Smith was right in the 19th century.
You are exactly like that Mormon - trying to convince me that Martin Luther was right in the 16th century.
English
