Tough to summarise what @Jeremy_P_Lyons has done for coaching in 🇮🇪 as he announces his exit from the snr coaching end. Thankfully his legacy will live on via @dublin_sprint, a disrupter who created positive change and one of the key pillars behind the recent 400m revolution 🫡

@egansadventures I think you only need a B standard if getting a reallocated place - if you’re in initial road to ranking spots you don’t need B standard which is a welcome change.

We're how many years into this now? Quota spots are allocated on Road to... rankings, not World rankings! Yes, World rankings play a big part in the Road to... rankings, but they are not the same thing.

@boriakinola01 @MarkSmythy AAI policy, you have to hit a B standard to be selected or if was part of relay going. World ranking has its issues, that guy below has run 20.4, but below him again is a 20.0 athlete (from US) and below that again is a 20.2 athlete who obv didn’t know how to navigate points.

@leonr200m I think most people don't understand how good that is. 20.77 is as good as 6.57 60m about 1 point in ranking difference (for a guideline at least), it's a better standard all the other sprint finals which were amazing. Some depth in Irish male sprinting right now 60m-400m

Dunno why no one’s talking about mark over 200 indoors. 20.7 indoors is mental fast😅😂

Anyone know if there's some kind of course / training to become a running guide for people who are blind/vision impaired in ROI (ideally Galway tbh)? Imagine one of the athletic clubs might have something? Everything I'm finding in my quick searches are NI/UK. Thanks in advance!

@BrianGregan89 @Euro_Champs Bring it in for sprints at Irish Nationals esp as you have open entry. That being said, I wonder how much of a difference it would even make, generally the athletes who perform best in final are the ones who don't have to run as close to pbs to qualify and conserve energy,ietop12

Thoughts on the byes into the semi finals for the top 12 @Euro_Champs ? I am against it. 400m athletes have an extra round and have less than 18 hours recovery compared to the top 12. Major champs should be about who can produce through the rounds.
