@GamblingInsight @ColinBland78 We’ve been funded by GambleAware for the last 2 years. Their future commissioning strategy was only announced last week so is yet to go out for invite to tender. Our contract ends on 31 May. So funding is there but who will secure it and when remains unknown I’m afraid.

@GambleSupportYH @ColinBland78 Is it OK to ask who funds Citizens Advice gambling advice? Why would it be being brought to and end given the successes? Doesn't make sense.

but when I saw the font used, I honestly rewound it to see if a well known online gambling operator (who I won’t name to avoid promoting) had bizarrely sponsored it! I realise how ridiculous that sounds but for me, that’s the power it can have.

This, in my opinion, shows the power of advertising and why far stricter regulation is needed on gambling advertisements. We all know about brands and jingles etc but even things like the fonts that are used can be influential in association. This is an advert for a yoghurt (!!!)

@steviejbramsey Always recommend podcast in my sessions. Even added a slide detailing several so attendees can take note of the different ones. They've been a huge part of my continued recovery too so 100% agree Steve. And as ever, my humblest of respect to all involved in creating them 🙌🙌
