Playstation had to copy all these features or look outdated. The Xbox 360 is the reason I still choose Xbox instead of Playstation.

If we don’t draw a hard line with companies like Rockstar right now, they will use their biggest titles to lock us into a permanent digital monopoly. ​An all-digital release isn't progress—it's a corporate corporate scheme that kills game preservation and strips away consumer rights. Even worse, it completely destroys the livelihoods of real working-class people down the entire supply chain, from the warehouse teams and delivery drivers to the retail workers and cleaning crews at Target, Walmart, and GameStop. ​You are 100% spot on. The boycott cannot stop with Sony. If there is no physical disc inside the box on day one, it is an absolute skip. Demand the disc or give them zero dollars. Period.

What Happened in Spain vs Argentina.

Claiming Xbox Game Pass is both destroying the value of games, AND falling apart because it didn't grow enough, is always amusing to me. Xbox Game Pass has about 30M users. Do you know small that group is when compared to entire commerce of the industry, even when we control for F2P? Pick a lane folks. Either it never grew to expectations and only impacts a small fraction of consumers, or it's this all encompassing monstrosity that has destroyed the value of games. At 30M people, it can't be both. It doesn't control commerce in the way it's being scapegoated. Game Pass Ultimate + PC Game Pass (which would be less than 30M people) appeals to people who *specifically* want to consume brand new games in a buffet aystem, which we know from consumer trends, isn't actually that large of a group. Even considering the Call of Duty mistake, Game Pass stalled out in growth around 34M people. That isn't nearly enough market control to dictate the fate of games, let alone the "value" of a game released across multiple storefronts. I DO expect Xbox to reveal new Game Pass plans this summer, but my hunch is that those plans will be designed to encourage MORE people to construct a Game Pass menu that appeals to them.
