This is during 2nd Edition. The rulebook was perfectly organized and more mature and developed than 1st without the bloat of 3rd. If you couldn't find a rule in 2E Shadowrun you didn't deserve to be playing the game because they were ALWAYS in the perfect place. If I ever make my own RPG I long for the organization of Shadowrun 2e and the Indexes of Monte Cook's rulebooks.

Speaking as a man who has been deeply involved with gaming for a half-century, and has seen, reviewed, and even published books based on roleplaying games: i don’t think any of them are worth their paper & ink. I encourage y’all to read original fantasy and adventure books. Like Gygax and Arneson did. If you have books that would disprove me. Now’s the time.
