@GardinersMullet

Possibly the best haircut to ever play for #crewealex. Not a bad left foot either. Alex excile. Not Mark

@oldhamfanmedia @FranceOAFC Yep, we're talking about the same free kick. Ive watched it back and it was the right decision. Blaming the ref is lame. Might want to look at the lack of closing down on the edge of the box or your keeper. I think he's only just dived for both goals. All the best.

@GardinersMullet @FranceOAFC It’s wasn’t in the build up, the goal came from a free kick that wasn’t a foul, we should have been on the counter in fact. A draw would have been fair but the ref had a shocker with that particular decision. Must be nice to beat a bigger club, enjoy your evening.

These two and 1600 others robbed by a terrible piece of reffing and, in fairness, two excellent strikes. Can’t win them all but coming away with nowt from that is a kick in the balls #oafc

@FranceOAFC @oldhamfanmedia The one on the build up to the goal? "Robbed" is a bit dramatic. Appreciate getting beaten is upsetting but there is no need for hyperbole. I thought a draw was a fair result myself but then we deserved 3 points at your place....yes, I went to that game too.

The #CreweAlex Bell out crowd will be quiet tonight I imagine. The ones who support him will be made up. Both “tribes” should probably accept this week and last week are two sides of the same coin and that football just makes fools of us all.

@joecos4457 Target is to compete for play offs and play academy kids. Bell has achieved that.

I'm always delighted for Bell when he gets a tune out of this #CreweAlex squad. However, today was awful and makes me question if loving the club is enough. I'm certain this squad is better than that performance and the current league position.

Injuries and been the go to excuse for #CreweAlex when things don't go right. That excuse doesn't hold any water now and it's difficult to justify that performance.

@RailwaymenThe @Tom_Kural Good article @Tom_Kural , FYI I believe the extra £1M came from the owners of Enviro Skip, with the car park used as security for the loan.

🚨2024/25 Finances - A Deep Dive🚨 It's that time of the year where Tom does what I can't do and assess the #CreweAlex finances to tell us all what it means. Have a read and see what he makes of the club's current finical status! 📝 @Tom_Kural wp.me/pdOxr6-2Hw

I'm at a bit of a loss after that one. We brought that on ourselves with that 2nd half performance. No time on the ball, inviting it for 45 minutes. I don't like talking about refs, but, Jesus Christ! Thoughts in for this week's pod 👇

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural I know but if the directors won't invest £1m a year anymore then it's a simple situation. Costs need to be cut and that should involve looking at every budget line.

@GardinersMullet @Tom_Kural Christ! It costs bugger all. It’s leased from the college and they do loads of the maintenance. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us.

Well, for all the talk that the board can continue to fund day to day losses etc, bringing forward the biggest money making event of the year to February feels a bit...worrying? #CreweAlex
Crewe Alexandra@crewealexfc

The Club can confirm that 2026/27 Season Ticket prices have been frozen for existing holders 🎫 That means adult supporters can again secure their seats for league games at Mornflake Stadium from just £15.43 per match 🏟️ 🔗 tinyurl.com/48b3nytc #TheBigFreeze | #CreweAlex

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural Do we really need a training facility of that size and all the maintenance costs involved? If we're skint then everything will need to be looked at

@GardinersMullet @Tom_Kural The infrastructure costs stop a lot of clubs doing it. We’re lucky, we have Reaseheath. But every club that can do it is doing it.

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural Anyway, it's an interesting debate. I don't know the answer and might be totally wrong but think the complexity of it needs looking at fully. If the club are as skint as it appears than nothing can be off the table.

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural Do academy players not get these things? They obviously do. They might be much lower for the fringe players but all costs need building into both sides of the equation. If cat 3 status was such a good idea in L2 then more would do it.

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural Using that logic you could say 10 x £1500 per week = £780k - about the same as academy. I'm assuming the likes of Finney and fringe academy players would never command a £1500 salary so we could end up with a stronger squad!!!

@GardinersMullet @Tom_Kural Not exactly, but you can work out the extra money you’d need to find an extra 8-10 players for your squad at £1200-2000 per week plus win bonuses, signing on fees and the rest. Or you can just compare our wage bill against other teams of our size.

@SmokeyTimRobbo @Tom_Kural Yes but 1st team and academy costs are all wrapped together in the accounts. You can't categorically say the academy dramatically reduces costs as it's impossible to work out the sunk cost of players getting 10-16 years of coaching alongside the high failure rates academies.

@GardinersMullet @Tom_Kural What your saying does not make sense. The biggest cost is not the academy. It is, by far, first team player wages. And having the academy drastically reduces that cost.
