We can’t make New Jersey more affordable until we make housing more affordable. My Executive Order will make it easier to build more in this state – boosting supply and bringing prices down.

@GovSherrillNJ So builders put in the minimum required “affordable housing” units and then charge insanely high rents for the non-affordable units, while destroying every last piece of available open space, and getting tax breaks on top of it all.

@NYCMayor The shopping cart video is laughable. Do you ever see low income shoppers loading up on fresh fruit and vegetables? No way. Typically you would see six packs of Coca-Cola, Pringles, Entenmann’s cakes and pies, popsicles, Fruit Loops, processed deli meats, Hostess Twinkies, etc.

At our city-owned grocery stores, staples like eggs and bread will actually be affordable. And we're going to do it the right way, without cutting workers' pay or dignity. Because in the wealthiest city in this country, buying groceries shouldn't be an unsolvable equation. It should be simple, fair, and within reach for everyone.

OPINION: Babe Ruth would be a bust in the modern era. He never played against the best African American or overseas players. He dominated an era where pitchers were mediocre, fatigued and had primitive training. He was unhealthy and unfit, and ultimately a defensive liability.
