@BigBoyBison97 @colehawk23 I think the biggest factor is the Portal and the extra yrs of eligibility It’s not like Indiana roster is loaded with 5 star recruits & NFL talent everywhere They are however the oldest team & full of transfers.. a 24 yr old with experience is just better than a 19 yr old

@colehawk23 NIL, Transfer Portal and playoff expansion. I think they’ve all played a role, some more significant then other but it’s been a perfect storm to create parody

@chrisb972 @colehawk23 Indiana doesn’t have a single 5 star recruit on their roster They didn’t win because the roster is stacked with NFL talent. They’re just older than everyone else All the extra years of eligibility & the portal played the biggest factor

@colehawk23 Transfer Portal was most impactful Then all the extra years of eligibility. The top recruits are still going to the Blue bloods. It’s just now you can’t get them to stay

These are the two best teams in college football right now! The CFP has gotten the right 2 teams two years in a row. The process is nasty, but the results have been golden.

@PatMcAfeeShow When has the Big Ten ever out recruited the SEC? SEC still has way more talent on paper.. The difference is how old the teams are.. It’s hard to beat a team of 23-25 yr olds

@MG3Life @On3 The SEC is still out recruiting the Big Ten by a wide margin… it’s not even close The difference is older teams are in the B1G It’s hard to beat a team of 23-25 yr olds. The extra yrs of eligibility & transfer portal was the equalizer

I mean he's not lying. The Big 10 schools are doing better because they have more kids from the south on their rosters. The reason is NIL. A lot of kids from the south rarely consider schools up north, especially at the rates they are now. Kids down here don't grow up thinking about Big Ten schools or wanting to play for any of them. Talk was you wanted to play ball in the south or out west (sec, acc, Big 12, Pac 12) the few outliers from big 10 were OSU, Michigan, Penn st and even those schools were rare hearing anyone speak on and the kid usually turned out to be from the north. I know a lot of Big 10 fans like to believe every kid in the south or in sec was getting paid but that's not even close to the truth, there were a select few highly valued players no doubt but not everyone, and even those kids weren't going to Big 10 schools even if they weren't paid.

NEW: Nick Saban trolled the Big Ten over why it has an NIL advantage over the SEC😂 “In this day and age of the culture we have now in college football, paying players, name, image and likeness, transfer, it’s an advantage for the Big Ten. You’ll never convince me otherwise. The North. Because people in the South would not go to the North unless you paid them.” (via @PatMcAfeeShow) on3.com/news/nick-saba…

@GrahamStephan Does that mean people over 70 are still buying homes? That's actually pretty cool for them, but those 35 and under seem to prefer renting or living with their parents.

@Samophlange85 @ehansalytics @money_cruncher Yes that’s majority of people in society Think of it this way. Credit card companies wouldn’t be practically begging people to sign up if they weren’t making money off of it They’ve researched this at every angle possible. They’re winning, not society

@ehansalytics @money_cruncher I'm convinced the people that say this have a severe mental disability. Are you telling me you're so brain dead that you're incapable of connecting the action of swiping a credit card to the result that the money will need to be paid back?

CALLER: I put $3,000 worth of monthly expenses on my credit card and pay off in full. I get 2% cash back, so that's $60 back every month. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid of the card. You're telling me that you spend $3,000 on a high interest credit card, just to get $60? That's not how you get rich! CALLER: I don't pay interest, I pay it off every month and get $60. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid the card, use debit cards ONLY! CALLER: So give up the $60 I get back monthly? DAVE RAMSEY: That's not how you get rich! In reality, if you are resposible, USE credit cards. It's not just cash back. It's also liability protection. Every dollar matters.

@_Chris_to_pher_ @hossafy @money_cruncher They’ve found that people who use credit cards spend more money in general even if they pay it off monthly.. psychologically it’s just easier to use vs cash You may be the exception but Dave’s main message is people need to stop spending so much

I feel genuinely bad for the people who have followed Dave Ramsey for the last decade. Dude gives generally good advice. Don’t go into debt. Don’t overspend your income. But his advice is no match for Weimar conditions. Those that levered up massively between 2012 to 2021 are doing great. Honest Savers have been obliterated.

@GaryCarr19 @BraddrofliT Fair point haha. I don't think I fully absolve Mitch McConnel of some of the blame. The only thing I can say is that Kentucky is like a third the population of Ohio, but then the question would be why people don't move to Kentucky.
