Morning. In about 45 minutes I’m about to run the #LondonMarathon. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

Fancying a change, I’m taking part in a sleep out tonight in London to support a homeless charity. And why not?

This weekend, I’ll be trying to persuade Mrs D to let me take her away for a two week cruise to the Western Caribbean. I feel that she will be reluctant. Place your bets!

I’m delighted to report that the present Mrs Dixon, @Lindalanchester, is still excellent wife material, having stood for two hours in the rain to get this pic of me doing the #GreatNorthRun2024. Happy to confirm her reappointment to the role for another 40 years.

I had lunch yesterday with a friend. She was bemoaning how hard it is to take time to exercise, as you get older. I explained that I’d just watched a young woman, WITH NO ARMS, compete in the #Paralympic2024 archery competition. It’s all about focussing, and getting on with it.

I used this picture, three months old, in the hope that whomever checks my Railcard will say “surely you’re not 60….”. Sad!

Getting my Parkrun routine back on track. After holidays, injuries and alternative hikes, it’s good to get back to my normal Saturday morning, visiting a new Parkrun. 👍🏻
