@unacceptfringe If you were under the legislation the Forever Canada was under, then your number of signatures would not have been enough. @david_parker said 750 000 signatures would not have been enough, your petition did not even get 50% of that number.

Today, Mitch Sylvestre and the Stay Free Alberta team delivered roughly 301,000 signatures to Elections Alberta for our independence petition. Over the required threshold. Delivered in trucks. Delivered by people who actually believe in something bigger than the status quo. And yet, I see some of you out there feeling the weight of disappointment. I see the comments: “Only 301,000?” “Maybe it’s not enough.” Stop. Right now. Lift your heads. Because here’s the truth they don’t want you hearing: the Forever Canada petition did not require canvassers or identification. They ran a feel-good paper drive with verbal nods and quick sign-ups. No ID. No registered canvassers carrying official Elections Alberta credentials. Just warm bodies and hope. And now they wave their numbers like a victory flag. If they want to brag about raw volume, they’re free to run another signature campaign tomorrow. Let them do it the hard way this time. Let them register every canvasser, verify every address, and submit to the same rigorous, independent verification process our 301,000 signatures are about to face. We’ll wait. Because this isn’t a numbers game. This is a will game. Every single one of those 301,000 names was gathered by real Albertans who stood in the cold, knocked on doors, faced the doubters, and still signed anyway. We didn’t take the easy road. We took the honest one. And when Elections Alberta finishes their verification, those signatures will stand as ironclad proof that a growing, determined movement is done asking Ottawa for permission to exist. To every one of you feeling down right now: this is not the end. This is the spark. We are not asking for scraps at the federal table anymore. We are not begging for fairness from a system that has never given it. We are building the Alberta we want, one where our resources stay here, our laws serve us, our future belongs to our kids instead of career politicians 3,000 kilometres away. This fight has never been about one petition. It’s about who we are as a people. Tough. Resourceful. Unapologetic. We tamed this land. We built this province. And we will not let fear or slick marketing campaigns convince us that staying chained is somehow noble. So stand up. Dust off that disappointment. Turn it into fire. Share this with every Albertan you know who’s wavering. Tell them the real story. Tell them 301,000 verified signatures under strict rules is not weakness, it’s the beginning of something unstoppable. Tell them the referendum is coming. Tell them the choice is finally ours. We are not going backwards. We are Alberta. And Alberta is going forward on our own terms, with our own destiny. The fight isn’t over. It’s just getting started. Hold the line. Raise your voice. Fight for the Alberta you want. We’ve got this. Together. Forever Alberta.

Alberta Secession - Why?
An Open Letter to Premier Danielle Smith, The delivery of 301,620 verified signatures to Elections Alberta on Monday is not merely a bureaucratic milestone; it is a thunderous demand for self-determination that your government cannot ignore. These names represent Albertans who stood in the freezing cold, IDs in hand, to ensure their voices were counted. They have met and nearly doubled the legal threshold required to bring the question of Alberta’s future to the ballot. You gave your word that if the signatures were gathered, the question would be put to the people. Now is the time to honor that promise. We are acutely aware of the legal maneuvers and injunctions seeking to silence this movement. However, the political authority of the Premier of Alberta is derived from the people, not from the delays of the court or the objections of interest groups. The Referendum Act provides you with the clear power to place this question on the ballot for October 19. Any attempt to use judicial "pauses" as a shield to avoid this democratic duty will be seen as a betrayal of the very sovereignty you claim to defend. This movement has done the hard work of democracy under the most grueling winter conditions. They have operated with transparency, verifying every participant to ensure a pristine list that stands above reproach. The possibility that these 300,000 citizens must wait indefinitely while their rights are debated in a courtroom is an insult to the provincial electorate. You have the mandate, you have the numbers, and you have the legal framework to act. We demand that you bypass the legal static and immediately take the necessary executive steps to include the independence question in the October referendum. The eyes of the province—and the country—are on you. Do not let this historic expression of the democratic will be buried in legalities or process. Put the question to the people on October 19 and let Albertans decide their own destiny. Sincerely, Colin N. MacLeod

Albertans should accept nothing less than Danielle Smith’s resignation. The totality of this personal data breach to almost 3 million people will be felt for years to come. Smith will not do the right thing. We have to advocate for ourselves and as a province.

I volunteered as a Stay Free Alberta canvasser, and I can reassure you that I have never stolen or abused anyone’s personal data. Mitch Sylvestre, and Stay Free Alberta have acted with integrity, honesty, and in good faith while collecting signatures for the citizen’s initiative petition. However, if “leaders” for The Centurion Project (David Parker) and The Alberta Republican Party of Alberta (Cam Davies) have acted illegally in ways that have create gross mistrust; they must be exposed and condemned for their actions. I didn’t pour my heart and soul into canvassing for Stay Free Alberta’s citizen initiative petition to have it undermined by The Centurion Project and The Republican Party of Alberta. I treated the signatures I collected like gold, and I wouldn’t dream of compromising anyone’s personal information. @stayfreealberta @RiseOfAlberta @JeffreyRWRath @ikwilson @kathyflett1 @JonFromAlberta @ABProsperityPrj @albertaradios @CoryBMorgan 🛡️The Republic of Alberta🛡️

Alberta Independence is going to happen. Nenshi is getting his butt kicked in the polls. The Liberals are going insane. Talk to friends, talk to family, talk to your children and community members. The only way we lose is abstention from voting.

This is a call to all organizers, influencers, and volunteer in the Independence movement. We must all get under one roof and decide a path forward TOGETHER ....United...or this falls apart. The feds and their media buddies are coming after us hard, smearing anyone who dares talk about Alberta standing on her own two feet. They're twisting every story, blowing up every misstep, calling us names. Why? Because they're scared shitless, that's why. They know if Alberta wakes up and says "enough," the whole house of cards starts to crumble. Ottawa's losing its grip on our oil, our land, our money, and they hate it. But here's the truth, this fight isn't about one guy, one group, or one perfect plan. Alberta independence means different things to different people, and that's okay. Truckers, farmers, teachers, roughnecks, small business owners, parents who just want better for their kids, we're all in this together. I see the attacks rolling in, the attempts to divide us. Don't fall for it. We need every voice, every influence, every crew that's been pushing for sovereignty. Put the little squabbles aside. Drop the ego. This isn't about being right on every detail, it's about getting our province over the finish line so our kids and grandkids aren't stuck paying for Ottawa's mistakes. United we stand. Divided we fall. We've got the resources, the work ethic, and the grit that built this province. We're done sending our wealth east just to get lectured and regulated to death. Hold the damn line. Stay focused on the future, not the noise. Keep talking to your neighbours, your coworkers, your families. Keep showing up. This isn't some passing anger, it's a movement for a free Alberta. Strong. Proud. Ours. Let's do this for the ones coming after us. No more excuses. No more division. Alberta first, Alberta forever. Hold the line, Alberta. We're closer than they want you to believe!
BertaProudDad@BertaProudDad

Alberta independence means something different to everyone. Support it or don’t, people have their reasons. I let the anger get to me, but not anymore. My focus is the future generations of Alberta. #Alberta #ABpoli #AlbertaIndependence #CDNpoli #AlbertaPolitics

No federalist can give you a roadmap for how Alberta gets a fair deal inside Canada. Because there is no mechanism to make it happen. Even a CPC majority won't touch equalization. There is no argument for staying in Canada. Alberta independence is the only logical conclusion.

Alberta Independence is not just a passing fad. This is the mountain I am willing to die on. Whatever obstacles arise, will be overcome. I urge you. Read the Alberta Act. Study our history. Understand why your fellow Albertans hold this conviction; even if you don't agree. Alberta belongs to all of us here. We do not require oversight from a Federal Government. Stand up for what is yours. Ours. Albertas.
