When you "label" people (analytic, High D, green, introvert, inverted giraffe) and drop them in that "drawer" you don't understand them better, you understand them less.

Having a prioritized list of initiatives this year is good. Being deliberate on what initiatives you are *not* going to do is better. Low priority is a lie. #Focus

The most boring people in the world are obsessed with "waste" Waste in their spending, waste in government budgets, waste waste waste waste waste Yes, we should try to be efficient. But there are other virtues besides efficiency, and any system of any complexity has some waste

@EricDBoyd and @rains27 - remember this conversation from many, many years ago? Hate to say “I told you so” but…. I believe it also had/has fake names of who was baking, delivering, etc.
Austen Allred@Austen

I was very very sad when I learned the Domino’s pizza tracker is entirely fake (based solely on time since order), but I have to commend whatever engineer suggested doing that instead of spending $200 million building out the infrastructure to support it being real

@Gitpodstatus I notice on your status page you're tracking issues with opening workspaces in the EU - having the same problem in US too.

You’re doing sales because you failed at marketing. You’re doing marketing because you failed at product.

"I'm a founder building a platform to help teams work more efficiently in asynchronous ways, reducing the number of in-person meetings, syncs, calls. I'd love to hop on a call to show you what we're building." The irony.

Have you read Fixing Your Scrum yet? If so, would you leave a review? If not, what are you waiting for? 😀 amzn.to/3JlUbqz

It’s not about what I CAN’T do. It’s about what I CAN do. I’m proud of how much control I have in my unassisted walking after 18 months of training. #CerebralPalsyAt51

Anyone who prides themselves on being an independent thinker should agree with the mainstream when the mainstream is right. Statistically, this has to happen at least some of the time. So anybody who *always* disagrees with the mainstream isn't an independent thinker.
Yascha Mounk@Yascha_Mounk

The prevailing consensus is sometimes wrong. So we desperately need public voices who are brave enough to go against the prevailing consensus some of the time. But if you go against the prevailing consensus all of the time, you are going to get a lot of things very badly wrong.

@jchyip Pairing halves "productivity" or output of TYPISTS, not PROGRAMMERS. Are we really still having this discussion?!?!?
