Will Wade met with NC State officials Wednesday to discuss reports around a possible return to LSU, source confirms. NC State is expected to make a competitive offer within 24 hours to keep Wade in Raleigh. Can confirm LSU is working to bring McNeese AD Heath Schroyer to Baton Rouge. The combination of Schroyer and LSU President Wade Rousse is thought to be enough to lure Wade back to LSU. Wade’s $5 million buyout at NC State drops to $3 million after April 1. LSU is content to wait another week to make a move. With coaching carousel is full swing and portal deadline approaching, the sides could negotiate a settlement of the buyout, should Wade choose to accept the LSU job. If Wade stays in Raleigh, Matt McMahon will return as LSU’s coach next season. @1045espn @LASportsDotNet

A source close to Hubert Davis tells ESPN's Rece Davis that Hubert Davis was fired by North Carolina. The school did not specify that in the release, which UNC called a "leadership change." The former UNC coach is set to be owed nearly $5.3 million, per his contract.

There is a big disparity between the EvanMiya.com prediction for Michigan/Alabama and what Vegas has. Every other Sweet 16 game is pretty close to consensus. Factors that boost Michigan's margin here: - Holloway's injury will actually matter against UM - Michigan has played up to elite competition, Alabama has done the opposite - Michigan plays really well in higher tempo games, which Bama will give them
