@tombennett71 I’m a dad & care deeply about kids. I’m also a leader. I’ve spent A LOT of time thinking on how to fix behaviour in very challenging school just joined our MAT. This week started line-ups / warm strict / DFL. It’s been epic-kids are saying they now feel safer and can learn.

I notice that a terrific school leader I know hesitates to celebrate online any of the behavioural improvements their school has made, because of the risk of a monstering from the #bekind brigade and the inevitable calls for them to resign, local press clickbait, trolls etc. Great work, people who love children so much they’d prefer their schools to be chaotic.

One of the best CPD days of my career today, spent talking to @JoeAmbroseGLT and @phillipalewisGLT at @GreenshawTrust about school improvement so that every child has the same chance. Utterly inspired by the deep values and relational approach that underpins all they do.

Why are schools closing at 1/1:30 and kicking all kids out into literally the hottest part of the day. You either care about the kids welfare or you care about ticking off them being present for registration. Makes no sense to me.
