After 7 long years, the day has finally come. @BetterLegal hit $1m ARR with a mega-weekend of +$597 MRR. But as you'll notice from the graph below, I opened our Stripe account in January of 2016. We collected our first non-MRR dollar 11 months later in Nov 2016. It wasn't until Jan 2018 (2 years after opening the Stripe account) that we began offering Registered Agent Service as our first subscription then State Compliance Service seven months later. MRR grew very slowly at $500-$1k per month due to us having a very limited budget for development, thus our intake form was literally Typeform for nearly 6 years! It wasn't until I made the switch to @bubble that we had the capacity to design our own form which is when things started to take off. In the first 6 years, we went from $0 to $53k MRR. Then, during the week of my wedding (Sept 2022), we launched our very own handmade Bubble form. Since then, we've grown MRR 58% with MUCH higher attach rates for both subscriptions due to having full control of every element of the experience. What's next? If you've been following along, we've been testing out our very own Contract Analysis AI which launches officially next week. I'm hoping to super-charge our MRR and make that our very first $1m ARR standalone product over the course of 2024.
