The discourse is so bad on here right now. Mania season brings out the weirdest behavior from stans. Everybody feels their fav deserves better and they get loud af about it. I just chose to opt out of the conversation.

@NRLSCC No, you hope for them to get the decision correct. If they’re consistently wrong then that’s consistent. I don’t want them to be consistent, I want them to be correct. If you start using wrong decisions as precedents, then it snowballs and everyone gets 6 weeks for everything.

@GavWav No one said that’s the goal. The NRL sets precedents mid-season, year after year, and that becomes the yardstick. After that, all you can hope for is consistency. Same as rules fans disagree with. They exist, so all you can hope for is consistency, not to rewrite the rule book.

@GavWav Last week they looked like they were setting another precedent. Referral felt excessive given the lack of intent (intent is referenced in the referral criteria). Then the following week Kenny gets a Grade 2 with Iongi possibly out 8 weeks. The inconsistency is what’s wrong.
