The 1985 Damron gay travel guide lists the Chicago bar Augie's and CK's as popular (*), mostly lesbian (L), and with a pool table (PT), and I'm giddy when I stumble upon a photograph of lots of lesbian women huddled around a pool table at Augie's in the mid 1980s.
