False starts. Starter gets the blame. They are only doing their job by the rules of the BHA. More noticeable at the festival because more runners, and everyone wanting to get a position, so rushing the tapes. It’s the races with a bend into the tape that’s the main problem. Imo🏆

@PowellJfpracing @McGracing @BHAHorseracing Nail on the head there. Why are there so many starts on the bend. Move the starts, move the first hurdles and fences, it’s not rocket science, the trouble is jockeys trying to get position. Put them in a line and you eliminate the problem.

The series of false starts at Cheltenham are a dreadful look for jump racing at its flagship meeting. There seem to be more than ever this week.Time for a complete rethink including no starts close to a bend. Sort it out @BHAHorseracing. Totally embarrassing for a major sport.

@RacingTV @HawkWing2002 The ground staff would have worked their ‘you know what’s’ off for this festival and it’s never good enough. Absolutely loved and proud to have worked in the racing industry and as a groundsman but it’s a thankless task and glad to be out of it!!

@JonnyDrury_Star Plenty to shoulder some of the blame but recruitment is the biggest issue, season after season we have failed to replace out going players and the transfer windows have just gotten worse. To lose the whole of our right side this season and fail to replace them was just criminal
