A little update…
I’m in the lead. We may both be boarding (John from Venice, me from Switzerland) but I’ve got a car near Heathrow - he has to go by train.
Just need to take off in the next 15 or so minutes and victory is mine. It’s the contest everyone wanted to be updated on

Ultimately, when all is said and done, if Grealish was £100m, 5 yrs on with CL experience, inflation, England World Cup player & 5 yrs left on contract - I’d say it starts at £100m.
If Utd paid £80m for Antony & £75m for Hojlund - then Rogers is more.

For such a poor season he has 8 goals in the prem equaling Jacks best season in terms of goals…

@Gazoaks @Villafanmike @danielhavfc Have we been reliant on him? We lost our midfield and he's contributed almost nothing since (2 assists, 1 goal in the league since 1 Jan).
Jack essentially got us up and kept us up.
Rogers has had WAY more poor games for us this season than Jack did in 19/20 and 20/21 combined.

@Villafanmike @justonemorematt @danielhavfc Selective memory maybe, I remember him getting the same stick not chasing back. I believe because he we told not to and stay high when Southgate said it was a flaw in his game many times.

@Gazoaks @justonemorematt @danielhavfc I feel there is one difference, & I may be being a bit harsh - but attitude.
If Jack lost the ball, it mattered to him to get it back. He was a captain & worked hard for Villa. I don’t always see that in Morgan. I worry that he’s believed the hype too early. But 100% more to come

At the same age Jack was still in the championship.
Jacks first touch though with both feet on another level.

@Gazoaks @justonemorematt @danielhavfc Grealish was a top player. He very rarely gave the ball away which is the opposite to Rogers.
Both with the ball at their feet with space in front - I’d say Jack edges it as his decision making was better.
BUT
Football is more about outputs now than it’s ever been. = Rogers.

@justonemorematt @Villafanmike @danielhavfc 12 goals and 12 assists last season is a better season in terms of numbers Jack has ever had. I do appreciate that numbers aren’t everything, but Jack didn’t score enough and Rogers is years younger.
